HEAT Damage VS HEAT Training explained. Why is your hair balding in the middle? kzbin.info/www/bejne/epS0oWaFj75_otU

I’ve been licensed since 2007 and I made a living working in the mall doing cut and color. And you’re 200% right! Clients ask me “what I use” I’m like shampoo and conditioner and regular trims. It’s the cultural emotionalism that gets me, why do i have to be mixed to have healthy hair or why do I have to use something. It basic maintainence and consistency. I love you because your giving facts with receipts ❤️💯🥰

Omg yes!!! It’s so easy but they let their emotions cloud logic. I got it sis, this ends in 2024, I do it for my sisters like you!

Is it bad for your hair to switch from permanent color to semi permanent? Is it bad to do a protein treatment after lightening/coloring my hair? I have low porosity hair.

The amount of time it takes for you to make these videos with notations is *chef's kiss*. Cyn, After years of learning from you, I've mastered my hair. I was loc'd for 5 years and was watching you when I was getting ready to comb them out.. After learning as much as I could from your videos and Guru 101, I combed out my locs and began my straight natural hair journey. I now keep my hair clean and trimmed (Using only one product line Design Essentials), and everyone always ask me how my hair is down my back. I get so excited to tell them that I do NOTHING except wash, condition, blow-dry, and sometimes flat iron with the seasonal trim. From being loc'd to now straight natural, I can confidently say that your teachings are TRUTH! Love you so much! ❤

This was an AMAZING VIDEO!!! The past few months Ive been going through perimenopause, and my coily pattern have changed so.much from someone whos been natural for over 20 yrs, my hair never grew to the hights I desired. I remember when Andre Walker came out with those products and would have been happy to buy them, but they were so expensive and now in hind sight Im glad I didnt but I still became a "product junkie"..the natural hair community took off on YT around 2007 and I was right there making videos and all thinking I knew what I was doing...smh! Now Ive started straightening my hair the last month and I forgot how much doing that I was not manipulating my hair every darn day!! Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge. Having now to just wrap my hair at night and that's it has been a welcomed reminder that less manipulation is better!!

Now i understand why my sister, who is a comesmetologist, was looking at me crazy when i went natural and started talking about my hair was 4c. But even with receipts, some people will die holding on to hair typing. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!💕

I’m so glad I randomly came across this. I had locs for about 7-8 years. Combed them out. I hated being a loose natural before, because it was too much to manage, and my hair never grew. Which was the main reason I got loc’d in the first place. It was too much. But I always fell for heat isn’t good for our hair. Straightening damages our hair. I really rather stick to the silk press adjusting. So this was good info, thank you!

My hair is proof that curl typing is a scam. I have coarse, type 4 hair but I only use lightweight products "meant" for straight hair because products formulated for curly hair don't take low porosity into account. Same goes for shampoo. Curly hair shampoos are often very moisturising but what if you have an oily scalp, dandruff etc? There's no diversity in these products.

literally every haircare professional: most important is scalp health, porosity, density,😅 and strand thickness. I use all different types of products but I use them correctly! Like I'm literally not sleeping in Olaplex no. 3 every night in wet hair.....that's a disaster waiting to happen. I don't oil my scalp because my scalp hates it. If it works for other people great. not me...I don't use a clarifying shampoo every week. I don't cover my hair and scalp in silicone every day.

It's always been weird to me this natural vs relaxed vs weave community. From what I've witnessed many no matter which one, really don't like their natural pattern. Most of the "natural" people I see manipulated their hair with gels, creams, moose, braids, twist, flexirods. I'm like that's not your natural curl pattern, so how are you going to talk about the relaxed people. Many still ended up with damaged hair/no hair growth. It's like they really don't like their natural pattern so they create curls. They're obsessed with curls. People keep saying they like natural but they don't like the Nupia "natural" look. I've been relaxed, weave, natural, braids and I love my hair. I just hate doing it😂🤣
@marleyhill349 ай бұрын
I've always been too lazy for all that manipulation. Lol! I am one of the original lazy naturals..as in I'm lazy when it comes to styling but not when it comes to hair care! I like my natural pattern actually with just some leave-in conditioner....I don't have time for all that rebraiding, re-rolling, re-twisting stuff and I hated doing that when I had relaxed hair....a wrap was my best friend even though I didn't like that it made my ultra-fine hair too flat. My mother tried to convince me to put rollers in my relaxed hair every night...it never worked. Lol!

Notice how he says "...but Type 4 women can use..." and with what he refers to as Type 4 hair or curly/kinky, there is always a "...but...". I cannot say that he was doing this but many times in conversation, when we say 'but', we are negating something that was previously said. I am also a body language feen and I can notice his body language shift every so slightly and uncomfortably when he makes a comment about what he refers to as Type 4 hair. The interview is cringe.
