@@TheMariahDouglas I love the smell and how soft it made my hair. I had to switch steps 3 and 4. When I did steps 1,2,3,4, the hair was crunchy. When I did 1,2,4,3, the hair was softer.

Maybe it's the "flavor" I purchased - got the fragrance free / almond oil. Or maybe I got a bad batch? I was *really disappointed with the shampoo and the conditioner. My conditioner was runny, had NO slip and didn't detangle my hair at all. I love the results from the moisturizer / flax seed gel combo. (Although the flax seed gel I got was also kind of "thin," like the conditioner...). I won't give up on this brand because others seem to have success. But I'm going to have to do something else for conditioning...
