I totally agree with you about the heavy conditioner. I tried it and when I rinsed it out felt like it I did not use conditioner on my hair all. However, when I tried the medium conditioner it was like magic. It penetrated my hair shaft and it gave me more slip. My hair felt like butter when I rinsed it out. Perhaps the heavy conditioner was not right for you. You should try the medium conditioner! You will not regret it. I also have course 3c/4a hair.

The styling crème is amazing! The gel was a no go for me didn’t hold well. I do love the shampoo and conditioner! I haven’t tried the transition mask so I’ll have to pick that up. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and I always gets so happy when you upload.

I love, love, love the detangling nectar and styling crème from the line! Xtreme line gel plus the Pattern styling crème is a bomb wash n go combo. Zero flakes, amazing definition and very moisturizing. 😉

I honestly thought it was me and my hair! I was getting flaking like crazy and my curls looked more frizzy then anything like second day curls were HUGE and I have to always wash my hair 3-4 days later smh thank you for making me not feel like a crazy lady lol

the strong hold gel gave me flakes a few times especially when i first started to use it! I like their other gel more. I find the mixing thing doesn't work for me sometimes and products still be flaking even if they mix well :/

Pattern never appealed to me ingredient-wise, but I do like watching styling videos with their products. Sounds a bit odd, right 😅.

I like the styling crème, leave in and hair mask. I stopped buying rinse out conditioners due to the fact after I wash my hair with a shampoo I go straight into deep conditioning. Hair masks are expensive and I want my hair to penetrate in that mask to the fullest. Rinse out conditioners still leave coating on the hair after being rinsed out. I pair the leave in with the curling cream and get good results. After hair is dried I add an oil. I only use gels if the weather is humid. In the winter I don’t have much of a need. The curling cream has a lot of Shea butter and if you mix it with a gel you are going to get flaking. If you have to use the gel a better combo would be the leave in and then gel. Skip the styling cream.

ive tried the gel and cream together 2x but I didn't experience any flaking. at least not that I could tell... I love the results I got tho

I tried the cream and strong hold gel together and I got flakes too 😭😭 You haveee to try the pattern curl gel (the one in the tube) with wetline. It has no flakes and gives me the best wash an gos

Girl! Such a good & thorough review. I EXPERIENCED the same thing using a recently purchased pattern styling cream + strong hold gel. I thought it was the hair oil reacting with the product on the next day, but I think that gel is just bound to flake unfortunately 😭 definitely going to try the cream with a different gel like you suggested🤞🏽💗

Oh wow. We didn't have that problem with the cream/gel combo. I love those 2 together. I just absolutely can not get past the smell. My daughter loves that gel

Oh no 😮😮😮 I hate that you got that flaking & the conditioner was a fail.. I would definitely take them back though. It doesn’t sit well with me for companies to profit from lackluster products that don’t live up to the claims 😔😒 It looked pretty cute on the first day though!

The strong hold gel didn't give me much hold. Maybe I'll use it up doing buns and ponytails

I haven’t been impressed with the things I’ve tried from them. I’ve tried the deep conditioner, shampoo, gel, leave in and detangler. The detangler and leave in we’re ok, but probably won’t repurchase. I have never tried the transition mask, maybe I’ll give it a try.

I don't get the flaking on clothes but I do have the flakes in my hair. It also happens on day 3 or 4 for me so it doesn't bug me as much but it's still not cool. I like the gel when I want a looser hold. It's definitely not a strong hold at all. My Bumble and Bumble gel oil gives me a way stronger hold than the pattern gel. I'm going to get the treatment/deep conditioner. Now I'm curious.

I have tried it... it's okay- but I don't LOVE it. There's specific products from pattern like their clarifying shampoo, their transition mask and their styling cream that I like!

@curlelia I've used thoses and have them..... I just tryed the scalp serum. I like cleansing shampoo but seem like I have used good bit for it lather enough 2 work it in.

I tried Pattern once and my hair felt very dry, given this was before I did my "big chop" but idk looking at your hair, it looks a little dull, how does it feel??

Styling cream is amazing, but the strong hold gel had no hold. Honestly I don’t think they mix together. I wish the gel was stronger - but of course nothing compares to wetline / eco styler …
