your hair length and curl pattern are what ive been trying to get for the past year but unfortunately my hair is more of a medium thickness so the longer it gets, the more weighed down and loose my curls are. its reached past my chest now and im struggling to keep my curl pattern. hoping i can figure out a solid routine soon

Cutting your hair in layers help with that babes I have extremely thick hair and cutting my hair in long layers helped with that truly

@@athenap.m5955 ive actually been doing layers for the past 2 years! my usual hair stylist wasnt available though so i tried someone else and they didnt do what i asked at all 😔cut the layers too short so the top layer doesnt fit in ponytails/buns anymore and didnt cut the side bang area short enough so when i do put my hair up pieces in front of my ears are way too long. its a mess! currently waiting for it to grow back a bit before going to get it fixed. im not too sure if the layering has helped the hair in the lower back though. i definitely get more volume but it still looks a bit wavy rather than curly

Nice I have the same brush it’s awesome. 👍🏽 I’d also love to know your refresh routine and method🙏🏽 Have you tried detangling before shampooing before? That’s my current routine, which helps limit knotting I get from shampooing, but I have to try detangling after/out of the shower I feel like it’ll save time and water with some slip (usually I’m cold standing there with water off and brushing wet hair).

i find myself struggling with the same thing! sometimes i just refresh with either water and product throughout the week, switching the days i add hair product. but build up is kind of inevitable by day 5 for me... maybe i can make a video about it!

Everything is fine, but why would you use a hair spray? It only dries out your hair, doesn't do anything to keep the curls in place, and makes it look super frizzy and feel super ruff the day after.

Any tips on how to get my hair completely wet? My hair is really high porosity and dries super fast so as soon as I get out of the shower I feel like the back and inside start frizzing up :(

I wonder if this helps since my hair does dry up quickly after a shower too! I would keep a small spray bottle of cold water and spray on my hair when it gets frizzy to keep it wet longer while I apply leave in conditioner, it helps me a lot with making sure the curls are moisturized. I hope my advice helps out 💙
