Honestly I can relate to u so much! My mom is Hispanic and she has straight hair too. And she didn't really know how to take care of my curly hair either but she made it work. But now that I'm 13 I've been watching these curly hair videos to get tips on how to tame it. I just wanted to thank you for all these curly hair vids 😅

my dad is white, and he has stick straight hair, and it's been just us since I was eight. one time I had cornrows in and he didn't know how to get them out, so he used a grilling fork! haha and we had to go to my friends house and her mom did my hair for him. I'll never forget that lol.

hello! Depending on how curly your hair is, depends on what types of products you could use. If your curls are like mine, the ONLY way to define my curls would be gel. I heard the Paul Mitchel "The Conditioner" is also great leave-in. For alternates to gel, you could try the Shea Moisture's "Curl Enhancing Smoothie" or The Kinky Curly "Curling Custard" I have tried both and they are AMAZING without leaving my hair crunchy. and thank you! they are from Forever 21 :)

Yes, credit to the Keratin Treatment! With each treatment my hair got shinier and "straighter". This was after my 2nd treatment.

I understand you completely, my whole family as straight hair but mine is somehow really curly so they used to always get angry with me for not combing my hair before school which would really annoy me.. I know most of these tips you introduced because after a while it just seemed logical for me to treat my hair a certain way but it would really be helpful if someone had explained it to me when I was younger. Good job with this video! :*

Another tip: It's okay to straighten your hair once in a while, just not too often. If you straighten it too often, it loses its curl and you just end up with frizzy hair with a lot of volume that looks like you attempted to crimp it with a crimper that doesn't work very well. I don't have curly hair, I have very thick hair with tight waves that has a lot of volume (it literally adds about and inch to my height) and I used to do this. Bad idea. Anyway, I already grew it out and I'm learning to love it, and your videos have helped a lot. Most people that do hair tutorials and give hair tips here on KZbin have really straight and long hair and it doesn't work with my hair. So thank you!!

Thanks so much for this video! The curly hair struggle is REAL! I'm caucasian but I have very thick, curly hair and I didn't start learning how to take care of it until maybe high school (I'm 20 now). And I'm still learning and trying to find the best way to take care of it. Also, you and your hair are gorgeous! I wish mine would curl from root to tip (it's like extreme waves from root to halfway down and spirals/loopies the rest of the way). You ARE fun and you got a new subscriber. :)

Hey! Your videos are so helpful, bc I actually have the same kind of hair as you. But I wanted to know, do you mosturize your hair every morning before combing it? Because I usually wash my hair every 3 days, but in the morning I just put some oil, so I basically comb them dry, bc I don't have the time in the morning (and I don't want to go out with wet hair) and if I don't comb it, it's just a nest of knots. Do you have like an alternative or some advice? Thanks!

No, I wouldn't think its bad to wet your hair daily. As long as you aren't shampooing each time. If you don't already, add some conditioner to your hair each time you wet it. :)

Omg you are so cute i cant handle it lol. I went through the same type of stuff growing up with curly hair, my mom would always straighten her hair so even though hers is curly she hates it (still today) and i kind of grew up thinking that straight hair was the way to go and never dealt with my natrual hair until 3 years ago. Now that i'm 22 i finally have let go of that crazy idea and natural hair is a blessing idc about weting it or sweating it and it is healthy and long, so yay natural hair!!
@vanessamarquez950610 жыл бұрын
I have heard left and right about the whole, wash your hair every now and again for curls...but i put hairspray and all kinds of oils as a daily ruitine, it leaves it messy and tangled. I cant stand tangled hair...so, idk if it wuld benefit my hair even with hairspray in it. Also your hair is sooo pretty!💕

Thanks for this video. I felt the same way. I did not know that curly hair needed satin, oil, conditioner, water, wide tooth comb. In high school I used a brush like a crazy person and washed my hair with sulfates AND used grease yuck!!!. Now I'm finally finding out after 20 years of perming my hair that I was going about it ALL wrong. I am now 5 months transitioning back to natural and I love my curls. I deep condition every week. I can't wait til I'm all natural. Thanks helped motivate me to keep going!!!!!!!!!

My brother and i are the only ones in my ENTIRE family that have curls. My mom has really straight, thin hair and my dads hair is straight too. They would brush out my curls until they were these awful frizzy wave things. It took forever for my curls to fully come back from that But the best part is that up until last year (im 16) i was still brushing out my curls until i met my boyfriend who has really tight curls and told me i should try leaving it natural and now it's crazy and beautiful

Well for my type of curly hair some of this doesn't apply to it but like your curly hair needs like a lot of moisture but mine doesn't all the time but great tips and great video!
@puppyzozo89010 жыл бұрын
Also some of my tips would be to brush out your hair with your hands because a comb can damage depending on curl type. And when you get your hair cut, go to someone that will cut it DRY. If they cut it while it's wet, they're brushing out the curls and when it dries and you curls spring up, it will be in a different place and be Uneven since every curl is different. Also deva curl products are soooo amazing it's so worth the money they saved my hair. Look up the deva curl 3 step process :) and also make sure your shampoo is Paraben and silicate free. Even if it says it is, look at the ingredients still if a word ends in -ben or -cate it has paraben and silicates in it which will dry your hair out like she said MOISTURE!!! It is your best friend but make sure you moisturize your mid to ends of curls and not roots it can build up at your roots and cause nasty tangles because your loose hair will stick to it and get all wrapped up.
