I wish I had someone tell me everything I'm about to say in this video. It would have spared me so much thought when I was transitioning to my natural wavy/curly hair.

I broke the video down into 3 parts after a poll I did on instagram.
The intro + outros are the same for lack of a more elegant solution. I am unable to film a new intro right now.
I would really appreciate you sharing your own stories and experiences in the comments. Motivate & encourage each other! Its something I wish I had more of when I first started my natural curly hair journey.

Omg, this video one just made my day in the sense I feel sooo relaxed now. Here's why, it's been 4 months that I started CGM and one question that still haunts me is do i really know about my hair porosity ? And the follow up thought that comes instantly is how will I know what to do with my hair if I do not even know about my hair porosity. How will I select the right product ? Now, after watching this video, I felt light. I am sure one day I will know everything that I need to know about my hair, it's porosity, curl type (i get confused if I am 2A, 2B or 2C), density, coarse etc., one day, some day :-)

Great info and tips! Thank you! ❤️ I'm at 2b/2c and I have to admit I don't want my hair to get curlier either. 😂 I want my hair to stop at curls like yours, your hair is beautiful! 🥰 I know I can't focus on how curly my hair is (or gets) though, I just need to embrace it, no matter how wild it gets. 😂

What will be will be. You'll love it either way. Curlier or looser. That's the beauty of time. That's the beauty of CGM. Sometimes I remember some of my old thoughts and the ridiculous expectations I had of my hair and laugh. I didn't see any of it coming. Grateful for it all. Both the ups and downs. :)

First. Yayy Also, I believe that a thorough research is necessary prior to starting the cg method. I came to know about this method almost a year ago but I have been following it only for the last two months. It helps you sooo much during the journey. Talking about the "feeling alone" feeling, I got a lot of support on this channel once I decided to share. So, I would encourage anyone who is feeling alone on their cg journey to talk so that they may steer across that. ❤

4. Don't focus/fixate on hair porosity, hair density, moisture protein balance in the first month of transitioning. Take a few months to understand your hand 5. Don't focus on curl types and dont be pretermined. CGM is about accepting your natural texture

Michelle, thank you for the realistic tips for a frizzy wavy hair like mine. I have been following your cgm tips & techniques for sometime and it’s very useful for me, as I have recently started with the techniques and other products like gel (though I have been using cg shampoo and conditioner for more than a year). And this topic was much needed today, as I was doubtful about the way the products were working with the techniques, so let me wait for some more time to see how better it changes. Thanks again...

Give it some time. And definitely keep a note on each wash day. Write down exactly what you did. How many pumps of product. How many sections. The way in which you made your curl clumps. The results. What went wrong. It's very important to keep track. I know you'll get there. Don't give up!

Please suggest enliven hair gel for 2c, 3a curls. When I style my hair wet it's like 2c and frizzy. And when styling damp with a widetooth comb in up direction it is like 3a hair and my hair journey is like 3 months and using home made flax seed gel. When my hair is getting dried it is not holding the shape I think it is because of the gel and frizz so much of knots. Please do a detailed review on flash drying .😊
@MichelleManuel
@MichelleManuel 4 жыл бұрын
I think you need to experiment with your styling routine till you get it right. I know you expressed concerns about wet frizz and now flash drying. All of it boils down to the basics, which would include getting your styling routine right. The enliven gel is really good for hold. Try the blue one (level 4 hold or the green one (level 5 hold). Consider plopping. Try wet styling, try damp styling. Try upside and upright styling. Try using a brush like the Denman for defined curls. It works wonders on 3 type hair. Keep experimenting. Like I mentioned in the video, don't focus on advanced things if you haven't perfected the basics yet.

Hi Dipika! Why do you have to choose? Why can't you have both? ❤️❤️❤️❤️ You can apply hair nutrition and hair knowledge to straight as well as curly hair. If I were you, I would try it. Give it one year with all honestly. Then if I feel like it's too much, I'd quit cgm. Wear my hair straight part time and curly part time.

Yes Michelle I am watching your all Videos Non-Stop 😍 you must be knowing 😊. As am very new to this.... Some of the things are going on top of my head 😁 but still am watching you video again n again whenever I get time and understand more..... Right now I don't have much time to look for more information anywhere. I Feels so reliable here. So watching your basic Curly wavy Hair routine. I have placed an order for 1. Shampoo - Moms.co(which is protein shampoo), 2. Conditioner- Reequil Babassu (assuming watching your hair porosity video, may be my hair is medium porosity or just being on safer side and will find out in my journey what will be my Hair porosity) 3. Leave-In conditioner - Northwish ( I got a 🤘😝🤘discount here Thank you so much 😇) 4. Gel - Enliven (Green) 5. Deep conditioner - Wow Sunflower Biolipids & Argan oil Hair mask. So I watched you all techniques. How to do it. Once I receive my all orders, I will start CGM. So this is clear. Next I watched your first wash, clarifying and chelating video, I understood 90%. I will make more efforts on reading and watching videos. Just few Queries - How will I understand I shud give a break to Moms.Co (protein shampoo) and use clarifying/chelating shampoo. Is it possible for you to make a flow chart where it say go on with protein - if hair is in so n so condition use - clarifying shampoo or go with regular shampoo, sometimes like this.... I donno if it's possible. Just an idea. You see if possible. 😊 Lastly am so excited to start this. I will surely share my progress on Instagram if I get good results 😇🤞 Love you so much for being my Inspiration 💞😘

I've been trying CGM for a couple of weeks. It's been divine. But my curls don't hold for too long. Definitely not a week. So I'm using product in my hair every two or three days. Would that fuck it up? Also is enliven gel harmful for the hair? Is mousse better than gel? I am a bit wary of using gel on my hair forever. I got the set wet cool gel and tried that, it made my hair very crunchy and curls were good. But my brother was like this is going to be very very bad for your hair. I know it's less harmful than using heat and straightening chemical filled shampoos etc. But if gel is harmful, how does one care for their hair to counter its effects? Hair masks?
