I bought the big pins from #6 not long ago and they’ve been a godsend for putting my hair up for ballet!!! I’m a professional dancer and they work amazing for a really tight & secure French twist that will stay snug & comfy for hours of rehearsal +they don’t get in the way like that XL claw clip does (i know from experience whoops)

The “stems” use a nail file or nail buffer to smooth the sharp edges it doesn’t pull or scratch.

I bought the big pins from #6 when my hair was long enough that I could grab the ends from behind. My hair was still not thick enough to use them and they kept falling out. Have them to my D-I-L who has really thick hair and she loved them.

I’ve been trying to get the boots clip you have for a while and it was out of stock and now it’s been discontinued. I then found some on amazon in 6 different colours and two sizes which I’ve bought both lots of and they’re really good quality with a nice secure grip. Thought you might be interested? X
