The public perception of Arkham Origins has changed so drastically over the years. I vividly remember people hating it upon release because it wasn’t Rocksteady. It was like that for a while after release, too. Glad to see people have caught on to it’s awesomeness.

so true. never understood that. i literally love it. yes arkham city and asylum were iconic and great and what i grew up with before, and story wise great, especially the ending with the joker etc, but i just LOVE beginnings, especially with batman. when its introduction time, to relive the moments where the gruesomeness of the joker really hits, and THAT was portraied SO good int he game for me

arkham origins is my favorite game in the series, the cutscenes, graphics, suit design, more of a focus on Alfred and the bat cave, the snowy setting, boss fights, everything is fire asf

Fundamentally the #1 criticism of this game is ''It's made by a different studio, it doesn't count'' And people saying it aren't even willing to try it because of that. Hopefully that argument has been put to rest now that SSKTJL launched and it's made by Rocksteady as a direct sequel and it's dire. Studio should not be a factor as to weather or not a game is ''good''. If it's good, it's good.

that's the most unorthodox way to clear the ship's surface I've ever seen, usually i go extra stealthy with it, ends up more like IGI, memorizing the moves, starting with the sniper on top, the the 2nd, ending up with smoke pelleting the 2 guards in front of the door.

Its got one of the best storys in the arkham series especially with the time it is set in, in batmans earlier days when hes more aggresive and lesser experienced. I also liked the story of the black mask setting a bounty on batman and having all these assasins after him and seeing deathsroke fighting in a batman game, also loved their portrayal of bane in this game so unfortunate what they did with him in the other games. I guess people just didnt like it because it wasnt rocksteady

Fun Facts about this game, this was supposed to be made by Rocksteady but they say they couldn’t make the game because they feel that they can’t make the deadline for this game and that’s way this is never going to be rereleased by Rocksteady or WB games monteral today

Tip if you ever want to play, Arkham origins level up combat resistance don’t do the bullet resistance because without combat resistance, you are going to easily lose a good while against deathstroke

It was mainly hampered by the needless retcons, bugs and the story twist of Black Mask not being Black Mask. And if you want to 100 % this game, it's Dark Knight System is awkward because you have limited windows of opportunities to finish it. But it is still a really good game. In many many ways it's better than Asylum. Roger Craig Smith does a great job voicing an angrier, inexperienced Batman.

That Deathstroke fight is the best boss fight in the entire franchise. I love the Rocksteady games, but they suck(ed) at boss fights. Wish they'd taken some lessons from this one. But, as SS:KtJL has shown ...they don't learn so good.

Honestly, besides some moronic Datapack placement and some weird bugs including a floor you can fall through near an Anarky tag, pretty good game, I prefer Arkham City's story as a whole, but I like younger, more over-the top and less deranged Joker, and also, I enjoyed seeing Harleen, the beginning of the Titan compound, the first canonical appearance of Victor, the amazing Deathstroke fight, Bane deducing Bruce is Batman. Lots of great stuff, but City is still a cooler story IMO. I've yet to play Knight, but I just finished Origins and am replaying Asylum and City after it.

Origins is way better than City. I'd say it's a tie between Origins and Knight for my favorite in the series. I did not play this game at launch, but it released with tons of bugs and glitches, which I think turned off many fans. Nowadays it runs just fine, so those of us that came to it later on didnt have those issues. But this game absolutely slaughters City.
