This is my favorite Spidey game and I'm excited for this series. Peter is 15 in this and Eddie is vaguely college age. This was marketed as a portion of the Ultimate Spider-Man story that was missing from the comics, but then they adapted it very loosely into the comics, basically retconning it. One criticism you had for Web of Shadows is over-abundnace of filler side missions, and that applies to Ultimate too as you probably already noticed. I recommend grinding as many races, combat tours, tokens and city events as you can so you can just focus on the story missions. Though I dunno how far in advance you are in recording these episodes so this advice could be useless.

OK I know this sound silly but you should definitely try the DS version, it manages to tell a more coherent story : -They send Venom to striker Island to free electro before fighting him, something they skipped in the PC version -They show Peter destroying the suit just like in the comics, making Eddie hating you more coherent -Some cutscenes are wayyy scarier and make way more sense (for exemple Eddie hit his head on a wall to trigger the suit to escape Silver Sable, instead of just falling on the ground like a victim lol) Anyway, you should try it.

I played the game on PC a while ago...and playing as Venom SUCKED until I matched his control Keys with Spidey's and then I mastered him💯👌. But I still enjoyed Spidey more. Better control and no need to replenish health...and imo Spidey's bosses are easier
