Vulture in Noir dimension is one of the most creative interpretations I've seen. Fits the world perfectly all whilst inhibiting the title in a sensible way

exactly! he is my favorite interpretation of vulture in any sort of marvel comic or movie or game. I wish that insomniac (marvel spider man devs) would make a new shattered dimensions, just imagine being able to go around new york in 4 different timelines...

@@k1w1_yes In theory sounds great, but I'm not exactly sure how achievable that would be. Making an open world that feels alive is already pretty hard, doing it FOUR TIMES, including the one that is like a super future utopia, not sure if that's really achievable at the moment. Would be great though, I wish we got like an exclusive game just about Noir or just about Spider-Man 2099 so they can intensely focus on them

If the criminal in question is too much of a danger to society or if the criminal shows no sign of reforming back into society as a genuine citizen, that when the no killing rule should be applied. But if it’s a new criminal that isn’t too far gone with the chance for reformation, then the rule applies. Love the content man. Keep up the amazing work brother.

Typo, when they're a danger to society and show no sign of redeeming themselves, the rule doesn't apply, they need to die.

Absolutely love the series and the today’s question really made me think.. I think Super heroes should keep the code unless it’s ABSOLUTELY necessary. That’s what keeps them different from a “vigilante” type. But in the games I wouldn’t mind lol I like that “antihero” “vigilante” sh!t lol

Tbh they focused SOOO much on stealth for Noir that his combat is the DRYEST. They should have found a way to implement his PISTOLS but unfortunately all the spider-men ate built on the same mechanics. Maybe in special attack coulve been a gun AOE attack cause hes the only spider with NO Ultimate Attack in the game

I think whether a hero should kill or not heavily depends on the hero, for some not killing is potentially more important than anything, and for others it's a necessity. For example, Superman absolutely CAN'T kill anyone, because it goes against what he's supposed to represent, he's the hero who can do almost anything and save everyone, he's supposed to be the most pure icon of what it means to be a hero in the DC universe, since it's not just saving the day that matters, it's how he does it that makes him a legend in his own universe, same for Batman, who is meant to represent that even in the darkest situations, we can be better than our surroundings. But on the flip side of that, there's times where it's just a matter of practicality and, for some, sentience- An example of this is, Bruce Wayne Batman explicitly refuses to kill other people, however his code doesn't apply to aliens who threaten to destroy the entire planet, or AI, where as in the Batman Beyond comics, Terry Mcginnis refuses to destroy an AI, because he considers it alive, both people who take on the role as Batman, but draw the line at completely different places for different points in time (Batman Beyond taking place in the future of the regular Batman timeline). Or again, to show the Marvel side of things, Peter Parker Spider-Man explicitly doesn't kill even if he runs out of options in many cases, sometimes willing to die rather than attack with his full strength even against his worst villains. Meanwhile we have Captain America, who is also a hero, but he's specifically a war hero, who has definitely killed Nazi and Hydra soldiers, because that's just the reality of war, same with Wolverine who fought along side him in the war, and Iron Man who again, still a hero, but he fights with some of the heaviest artillery in the Marvel universe. Honestly, I'd say the fact that the Marvel universe exists the way it does, proves that what makes a hero in that context, isn't whether or not they kill, but how much they stick to and believe in their ideals. MOST of the big name super heroes in Marvel, don't really have a "no killing rule", they just don't do more harm than is necessary, admittedly though, Marvel is a fuzzier rule set than DC, with a lot of mind control, body swapping, shape-shifting and so on, I swear Spider-Man either gets an impostor or loses control of his body at least once a year just so SHIELD and every super hero he comes across can have a misunderstanding where they suddenly think he's evil. Also for those that think Batman should kill, it's not his fault that the prisons in Gotham have the worst security in the world, if he wanted to, he could build an inescapable prison, but that's not what he does, and it's not his responsibility to "fix" or replace the entire court system of Gotham, because doing so is how we get a police state like in one of the many examples of the Justice League becoming dictators in alternate dimensions. Batman helps to take care of threats the government/police can't, but when he oversteps that, even without killing, bad things happen, and he knows that. It's also why, funnily enough, all the heroes in the Marvel universe that are most likely to kill, are also most likely to over do it, Iron Man? Multiple stories of him doing morally ambiguous things like creating or supporting police states. And a lot of other heroes in Marvel, often team leaders who need their team to balance them out.

To murder your villains to protect other people is justifiable, but there is supposed to be something that separates heroes from villains. What ultimately decides whether you kill a villain or not? If you think about it, the only real difference between a hero and villain is the interest of others vs the interest of ones self. To add murder to the list of things heroes will do only brings a hero closer to crossing the line into villainy.
@rui1517
@rui1517 Жыл бұрын
"Should the heroes kill the enemy or keep the 'no killing' rule?" - Depends on the villains that the heroes are fighting. If it's someone who has no problems taking innocent lives, then the heroes should kill them; at that point the villain in question shows that they're too far gone with zero chances for redemption. If it's someone who still has potential for redemption, that's when the "no killing" rule should be applied.

I think they shouldn't break the code... But should be exceptions for some. Extremely dangerous and uncontrollable villains like for example the Joker i always thought batman should have putted him down at some point and i know he did in some stories but its not always the case. But outside of that its also a matter of writing for authors. A hero is kinda nothing without his worst/best nemesis
@AceXY7

And most of those case where he kills joker, it’s never ends in the good way which is why being anti hero (like Jason or Wolverine) would be the best path

I think some of these heros should break the no-kill rule but only if it's necessary. If the law is gonna do their job and keep criminals like Hammer-Head, Kingpin and The Vulture in prison, then killing in Spider-Man's case wouldn't be necessary unless the same criminals Spider-Man already dealt with end up repeating or committing a much worse offense.

I am a firm believer in not killing people. The moment they do that, they are just as bad as the ones they fight. Vigilantes are illegal. The only way they can tolerated is if they help more than they hurt and do not break as many laws as the criminals.

I believe evil should be punished but the law should be the one to give judgement and the right person should be a judge. Killing the guilty yourself will not end killing it will just add more in the world. I believe that the person should stand trial.

The code is stupid and more often than not they should follow through and kill the criminal. Some of them may deserve a second chance; but those like the Joker or Doom should be put down so they don't kill hundreds if not thousands more people when they inevitably break free and go right back to wreaking havoc.

Heroes should never kill. It is their job to serv as a beacon oh hope to everyone. To civilians they represent new coming peace and to villains, they represent that there's a way to be redeemed. It's not their job to be Judge Jury and Executioner due to how vast the concept of right and wrong is to different people. After the villain is apprehended, their fate is now in the hand of the law, and its now on their hands if the villain breaks out and goes on a rampage again. Heroes have only won when the villain has lost their will to fight back.
