I totally agree with how locs have become a “trend”, how the market is taking advantage of it (no understanding in health, products & care/maintenance). I did lots of research (naturally and spiritually) about locs before I committed myself. That’s why my locitians have always been licensed cosmetologists who performed locs for a decade or more. Blessed indeed…..

Just recently had a scalp analysis done. Was informed of build up, scarring and inflammation on my scalp. My 200+ locs are tailbone length. But I did some damage to my edges in my relaxed years. What are your thoughts on doing Malibu Clarifying treatment on loc's? Its supposed to remove hard water, calcium, oils deposits from the hair. I'm so nervous about potential film being left on my locs, like when using castile soap 🧼 & baking soda. Btw my hair is soft like yours.
