Dadar Restaurant Shuts, Owner Sells Malvani Food In A Nano, Earns ₹1L A Month |Streets Stories S2E14

Khadpe's used to be a popular food joint in Dadar and infact two years ago, even the Curly tales team had visited the restaurant to try their authentic fish thalis and we totally loved it. Unfortunately, this year in 2020, the restaurant shuts due to the pandemic & the owner- Pankaj Nerulkar now sells Malvani cuisine in his Nano Car on the streets of Girgaon Chowpatty, Mumbai. While his profits were higher in the restaurant business, his expenses were also huge. Today he makes ₹1 lakh every month by selling authentic homemade Malvani food in his car Nano. It has been a difficult journey for him and he feels that the society just made it worse by making fun of him. But Pankaj stayed determined to rise again. My friend took me to this restaurant once while we're students it was more than 25 years ago and after for job I came to dubai and I lost connection with my friend as that time mobile was not in use. But always I remember the taste of this restaurant food. I have forgotten the place and name of restaurant. after that I shifted to pune and in so many years only 2-3 times I visited mumbai. Now I'm in touch with my friend and will surely share this video to her and again we both family will visit to him to have his hand made food or make order.
