Lived there in 1981 worked at the Faro Hotel dining room, Faro pub and the Legion and was briefly the gymnastics coach! The gymnasts were exceptionally talented there...The whole experience is still one of my favorite memories met some great people...I really want to go back for a visit soon...hopefully summer solstice next year. Terrible ' Curragh had such great potential. Just read about them going bankrupt in 1993 after the westray mine disaster. Apparently 120 people in the Yukon were paid 12 weeks severence 6 years after theyd been suddenly laid off. Sad. I cant imagine there are still 26 souls sealed in a mine in nove scotia somewhere. God bless Faro and the people affected by terrible circumstance.

I was a tourbys driver up there in the 80s and 99s and I renember having to follow the ore trucks down to Skagway.
