@@currencyworld I like the double eagle. I started off collecting Canadian decimal Currency and I I have quite a collection of every denomination. I consider myself an Exonumist As I anchor my displays with objects That have a relationship with the coins. My two main display cases are World War I World War II Korea Afghanistan and various UN missions. My third display case are my Canadian US and world coins. I also have a good collection of challenge coins. I also stack Precious metals! Now that I’m retired it takes up most of my spare time… Which is extensive! LOL

The 50 cent and $1 coins are still in use and still valid U.S. currency, but they are becoming more and more uncommon in terms of circulation. A lot of these coins are now being produced for collectors or as special release sets by the mint. Do you still need to add some of these to your collection? @@currencyworld Unfortunately I don't have special mint coins of Usa, except few commerative coins, but would be glad to some, I do collect every coins , I have paid more than 2 dollars worth of money (in terms of Indian rupees) to get 50¢ by the way. But 1$ I paid the actual cost.seems like 50¢ is very less as compared to a dollar coin.

The half cent is certainly a very interesting coin and, as mentioned in the video, it is one of the longest running denominations in U.S. history. They can be picked up on eBay relatively inexpensively in heavily circulated condition. What other coins do you collect? Do you also collect banknotes? Unfortunately, as you alluded to I do not think the coin would see much us today. People hardly stop to pick up pennies anymore as everything has become so expensive. I also tend to think prices and taxes will only continue to go up unfortunately! I hope to hear back from you very soon. Best regards, ACI

@@currencyworld You are very welcome. I enjoy your channel very much. I actually don't collect banknotes or currency mainly because I don't know much about them. I love collecting U.S. coins and silver bullion when I can. My most favorite to collect is the Morgan Dollar & Mercury Dime. I have a very small foreign coin collection which I love all the great designs & different metals. I very well remember your coin album and the fact you made your own sleeve for each coin. I still haven't gotten to start an album like that but that is still something I'd like to do. Here there is one local coin shop that opens only one day a week for like 3-4 hours. I'd love to visit there but have yet to catch him in that short span. I haven't browse much on eBay. A well circulated coin would be better than not having one at all so I really should make a point to watch a bit closer for a bargain. Thanks for the great content & I'll catch you again soon. 👍

I think businessess need to start giving half dollars as change on a regular basis, as well as discontinue the one dollar bill in favor of only using the one dollar coin. Plus also create a two dollar coin.

Hi @@mammyduck, Thanks for watching. These coins can be sold to collectors locally through apps like OfferUp, to local dealers, at coin shows, on eBay, or at a higher end auction house. I would recommend selling locally or on eBay. What kind of coin are you looking to sell. A 1957 wheat back penny showed up in my change,from what I've seen on line about this penny is there was a lot of mistakes or misprints that shows a I between the b and e,my penny has a misprint but it's not the bie, my penny has the bottom of the b blocked and it kinda looks like a 🔒 Lock to me,do you happen to have any information on this penny?are they alot of them or do I have a special penny,I'd appreciate any information you have,I have a few coins but to be honest I haven't looked at them in so Long I had stopped searching for old or rare coins but this one jump out at me,thank you for your history on old coins, interesting.

If it is not a proof example then it is likely that you have a 1975 dime minted in Philadelphia . It is only the proof example with no mint mark that are rare. I hope that helps.
