Fill it up with tap water and add a 90%+ hydrogen peroxide solution, let it sit for 24 hours before you drain

I just got these bulkheads in 2". Mine only comes with one big rubber washer seal. Does that seal go on the inside or outside?

@@grantplaster3858 yes sir they go on the inside. If you're using 2" do not use them in a rounded bucket. Looks legit but over time cracks the bucket around the bulkhead. Well, with something as small as a 5g bucket anyway.

The rubber gaskets sit on the end of the pipes, you poke them through the buckets the seal on the outside and tighten up with a bulkhead on the inside.

Nutrients at 110% dilution for the first 4 weeks, 50% dilution 4 weeks after that and finally Pure water for the last 4 weeks.

For safety purposes, yes.

I was about to comment on this but you already did. Yes, the air pump should be placed above the water level. If the power goes out, when air pump is on the floor, water can go through your air stone, through your air line and into your air pump which can ruin it. As a good rule of thumb, keep all electronics (except water pumps) and ALL power cord plugs / surge protectors above water level or least off the ground "for safety purposes".
