So much of this echo's some levels of take on from Coach Belichicks methods and ops. Nothing wrong with what works. I think it only works in a way if people know that its whole purpose is to make everyone better. Its easy to fall into selective bullying. I think Vrable has an especially hard core, and the danger here is going in too hard and damaging the grouping rather than making it better.

Excellent video. It is very interesting to hear this inside stuff. Now I understand this discussion was about Vrabel early in his career as a HC, but unfortunately too many fans think constant criticism and abuse of the players is acceptable and normal. I think that is due to the experiences most fans had when they were younger. That was garbage then, and it should be even less acceptable now.

I love listening to these millionaires complain about hard coaching, and act like it’s personal. Man that type of coaching, leadership and mentorship was a daily thing at the 75th Ranger Regiment. We didn’t get paid huge salaries, but we were expected to perform to the absolute best of our ability, and were held to a high standard, in EVERYTHING! You either get to the standard and work to exceed it, or you’re gone! Yeah sure, you get some leeway and mercy, but that only goes so far! You want to work among the best, and be respected. You better get your life and mind right, and EXPECT honest assessments, every second of everyday! It’s worth the sacrifice…
