Slightly more lightweight alternatives to the Dr. Ceuracle kombucha essence are Laneige Cream Skin or Dr Jart Ceramidin mist. They’re not visibly bi-phase, but they’re also emulsions. They both have a gentle scent, the Laneige one is more subtle.

Thank you so much Alicia for your review! I purchased #6 of the Danessa Myrick Blurring Balm and it is perfect! The neutrality of the color is great for my summer skin as it is more olive in tone. We are similar in skin tone and the #5 was just too warm for me, I am so glad I purchased it. Thank you🥰! Yes , I’ll pass on the cheek balm from DM, way too shiny & balmy for me here in Tampa!😊

You should have your own beauty empire Alicia! You are so thorough, considerate and utterly attentive. Lord knows we need this kinda knowledge! Would you consider running a special week of your greatest hits skincare and makeup tutorials… ie., maybe the most watched…or most requested videos…or most watched beginning to end routines, etc.? Love reminders and any new tips or old ones that are still important. A couple of my friends mentioned being confused/overwhelmed by the numerous skin products on the market and wish for more concise step by step skincare advice.

I've been wearing my Chantecaille tinted moisturizer a lot. 🤔 So tempted... I think I will go with DM in six. I am light now, but give me one good day of gardening and I'll be toasty. I'm also considering the Suqqu melting highlight and the melting blush in sumiiro. It's such a slippery slope! If I buy them I will sign up for the shipping deal again and order more stuff from Selfridge's because I already paid for the shipping!

Mama Pat’s essence has me intrigued but can’t afford at the moment, so I appreciate you supplying us with a good alternative!! I also enjoy Laneige’s cream skin toner/moisturizer as a milky, very hydrating, similar product as well!! That’s great to know! It appears that despite its oil contents, it’s formulated in a way that doesn’t leave the skin greasy. Even if you’re oily!

@@aliciaarcher I agree! The formulation just seems to be a healthy balance of antioxidants that works for all skin types. @@somethingsomethingname4814 I consider myself to teeter on the normal/oily spectrum in the spring/summer season. Some ppl with oily skin enjoyed the balm, and others said it didn’t hold up. I don’t know what the variables are from both sides, but it seems that many love Linda Hallberg’s blotting powder and new primer that has the same upsalite technology that’s found on Danessa’s balm.

The blurring balm really does stretch at first I got 9 for all over and 7 for highlights and it turned out both blended with my skin tone so I returned 9 and got universal, so now I use 7 all over and universal wherever I highlight with concealer. I was blown away by the universal balm powder at first but for some reason it went left fast. It would start off great but then look kinda meh later whether I was sweating or not. I tried with all kinds of foundations and powders and I find that I like my makeup more when I go without it. It's a bummer but it has to get returned. I want to get my hands on Linda's Matte Attack primer and right now the Pat and YSL foundations are my favorite.

I received the DM balm for Mother’s Day even though it’s the wrong shade (shade 1) I’ve been using it as a primer to correct the color of some of my darker foundations and mind blown 🤯! Loved it so much I got bought another one in my correct shade and love reaching for both. I know we’re not done with the year yet but it’s gotta be my favorite release this year. Hi Alicia, is it safe to use Pat’s and Natasha’s eyeshadows and powders, I noticed they have talc in them recently…Chanel and Dior also have it in their products… if it wasn’t safe could they still sell it? I love them but now I’m nervous after watching the HBO series! What are your thoughts?
@aliciaarcher2 жыл бұрын
If you don’t feel comfortable, then choose another formula. I know the talc concern was from Johnson + Johnson, and I don’t know where the talc is sourced from.
@Anic65002 жыл бұрын
Sorry to bother you, I just thought you were really knowledgeable about these things and you might’ve heard something because you know so many people in the makeup community, I just think we should all be concerned because talc only “grows” for lack of a better word, next to asbestos, it’s just concerning because we all put it next to our nose and mouth and there is no cure for mesothelioma! But I guess if these makeup companies didn’t suffer backlash like Johnson and Johnson then there must be something I cannot find online🤷🏻♀️ I just trust your opinion and didn’t know if you heard anything back when this was a huge thing…
@aliciaarcher2 жыл бұрын
@@Anic6500 you’re fine! No bother at all, and because I don’t know all the information (my brain is knee deep in nutrition and metabolic health right now 😂) so I haven’t went over the details. I don’t feel comfortable saying “go for it”, and you have an adverse reaction. There is a possibility that talc is tested before it’s used in makeup, but I’m not entirely sure.

Hi Alicia! How would you rate those KJH spectrum brushes? In comparison to other synthetics you have? I see you use the spectrums periodically and I can’t find many reviews on the bundle.
@aliciaarcher2 жыл бұрын
Hey hey! While I’m not super well versed in synthetic brushes (although I try my best to learn as much as I can along the way!) I think these are great based on the shapes. The stippled designs for the face brushes I feel are fantastic for lighter applications of cream and liquids (very wispy on contact) and some of the eye brushes I think have great medium sizes for one and done eye looks that rely on cream shadows. The construction is solid, and the ferrules haven’t come off the handles yet. All around, I feel a solid brush collection.
@Lanuun2 жыл бұрын
@@aliciaarcher Thank you so so much for that! I am clueless as well with synthetics, and the prices did surprise me! Good Morning Alicia, I always wanted to say something to you concerning essential oils in products. I watch youtube on my tv so I'm not able to comment. Thank God you chilled a little on that subject. Here is a glimpse of rose. calms nerves, cooling, drying, helps prevent cell damage, helps reduce inflammation, helps stop viral infections, nourishing, supports heart and circulatory system, pain relieving, prevents infection, restorative, supports immune system, uplifts spirit. it does so much more. Recently I believe you said that Rose had no benefits. In the PML essence video you seem to try to name some benefits. Roses has an odor just like poo, gas, and sulfur. The difference is that the odor of a rose is pleasant. That is why it can be used as a fragrance but is not technically a fragrance, Citron and others you see in products can be powerful in drop amounts, as you said in the essence video if not formulated or process correctly it might burn your face off. Many people of the science community have a problem with herbal ingredients that have little or no scientific basis. If you notice the in the last 15 years there was a super food explosion. This is because studies were done and turmeric, flax seeds, garlic etc.. benefits were scientifically proven. How long have man been on earth? Just because it's not scientifically proven doesn't mean it don't work. US is a young country and ancient Chinese medicines has been around for a long time and Ayurveda even longer. Aromatherapy is a branch off of herbalism and to me is in some aspect, the midstream towards modern medicine. The last herbal college closed in 1939, less then a hundred years ago and by the sixty's the herbal community re-emerged back into the US. Holistic health emerged. Please remember There is an Essential Oil Community out their and an herbal Community. People who live and practice their craft. With thousands of years of proof behind them that have never been clinically tested. If you could grow your own beauty products how much money would the US industries make? Why do clinical studies to put yourself out of business? Every time you see a natural product listed in the subscription and there's no odor means that there's more chemicals added to mask, remove, I don't know, dissolve the scent. Which is fine because people with sensitivities should have access too. Please remember and be sensitive to the many communities. Watch your numbers soar. Been around longer then you but you are my favorite You tuber ever. Please do a series on PML looks for everyday. I am not a you tuber. we regular folk are not limited to just using one pallet. Bridgerton Collection just as the Star Wars was not made for The Luxury Crowd as you can see. It was created for us less unfortunate people that may not be able to afford the more lux packaging. The lipsticks don't feel cheap they feel less lux. yes that means cheaper than the original but not cheap. I have never been able to afford a PML lipstick unless on clearance. I bought two. Everyone that follows can not afford Pat, so when you guys complain about no lacquer and start tearing down the brand, this is a slap in the face to the people whom the collection was created for. It seems that our wonderful creators forget that they are here for us and they turn into whiny little Karens that only care about their own self gratification and not their subscribers that has yet been afforded another opportunity to purchase her wonderful formula when otherwise they could not. We also (as you have provided mash-ups) can use more then one pallet at a time because we shouldn't have what you guys have because it would be too much. Thanks for being you and keep-up the good work. You are the best out here. Your favorite Sista-fan Tracey
