After purchased the lotus necklace and only took out of box and worn once in one month, the chain tarnished and there are numerous spots on it. I don’t get why influencers still promoting mejuri.... hugely disappointed and misleading customer to buy it

Oh no I’m so sorry that happened to you! Did you take it off at night? The lotus necklace is gold vermeil NOT solid gold so make sure you take it off and not wear it showering and stuff! Their “real gold plated” pieces tarnished which doesn’t make any sense because gold shouldn’t tarnish. I’n skeptical of this company now after my numerous experiences.

If it’s “plated” that means it’s not solid gold. Plated jewelry will tarnish over time. Unless you get solid 14k or 18k gold jewelry

babybunny1223 why would plated tarnish if the entire surface area of the jewelry is this 18k gold layer? The worst was one piece of mine that was worn ONCE and tarnished

Hii!! Personally my gold plated items haven't tarnished (the ones I've mentioned) but I'm also careful to take it off at night and not wear it in the shower/swim etc because chemicals in soap or chlorine may ruin your pieces. If you already do this or if your item has arrived in not-so-perfect condition, Mejuri is known for amazing customer service so DM them on Instagram to see what they can do to help!! :) Have you tried DMing them re: your products?

@@user-hw9go9nu5s That's a good point - I'm not sure if it is because of the material INSIDE that causes a chemical reaction that ultimately affects the outside? LOL don't quote me on this haha. But I've always known that if it's not COMPLETELY solid gold, you can't wear it 24/7 or else it will ruin the piece!! :)

I get you honestly most of jewelry if from Mejuri now, I started having very bad reactions to foisting jewelry. Most of my pieces are 14k gold and I wear them everyday( gold mini hoops, single min hoop, and bold sphere studs) and I sleep, swim, and shower without any issues. However I bought one Vermile piece (sapphire hoops) because they were fancier so I know I wouldn’t need to wear them much. I wore them once for pictures took them off put them back In the felt bag. Came back two months later and bam! They were tarnished 😮 still waiting to here back , but I figured I just only purchase 14k from them.

Vermeil is Pronounced “ver-May” lol Save up for a Cartier or Van Cleef instead of that cheap looking junk. Quality over quantity.

Honestly mejuri looks amazing in my eyes so i'm gonna keep buying from them and also i'm way too broke for cartier & van cleef right now :( maybe one day. if u have any recommendations for those lmk!
