So glad, everyone is trying to mint their own portion just by simply mixing oil and ethnol. Especially Indian brands and so called "indian perfumers" and ofcourse middle eastern manufacturers as well. I am at such stage in my journey where I can say that i am soooo done with these clone brands, so done with them. Taking break for a while from collecting and will try to declutter my collection this year.

I'm really happy with your self realization of being isolated with shit review trends; i got a strong thought you've been distracted from what we all attracted from GURU. You're seriously the guru the undoubtedly perfume enthusiast that inspire me to spent thousands on just samples of indian origin perfume oils and ouds. Everything aside if i talk just about what i really looking for in your videos is: 1- Science of understanding the perfume, thier notes, the unmatchable remarks like poetry you did. 2- Introduce more and more perfume oil ingredients and suggest where to find them 3-How this perfume community works: how a simple person like you became this big enthusiast and what are the footprints of your all journey. 4- I want to know more about the Zakir bhai, his organic trees and his oud knowledge he got from his elders. 5- How to collect perfumes that really worth buying in all budgets. I totally agree with you sir there are so many brands selling same fragrance with changed name and prices.some of them write in their discription about notes (so fascinating) but when you buy it you only get common perfume 😮i respect your decision you are genuine person

Bhut sahi advice dia hai aapne. Mai bhi ekdum eisa hi sochta hoon. Mere hisaab se medium price good quality retro perfumes aur kuch niche artistic perfumes kaafi hai. Or go for a favourite good note like vetiver, iris, leather and buy the best from different brands. ARMAF is bottling boredom these days. Maison Alhambra made me scream curse words. Mai aapna collection 20 saal se below 15 hi rakhta aaya hoon. Inme clone bhi hai. I give away most to nieces and nephews. Isi liye khus hu. I actually haven't used many and I don't have that library of names and notes in mind. Ya toh accha hai ya pheka. And I still buy Cool water, Aventus. Givenchy is new found love.

Agree with you. I have been a perfume enthusiast for a long time, but I never understood any scent or any thing about a perfume. Mostly have either got gifts or bought from duty free stores. Only this year just a few weeks back I have gotten myself into this beautiful land of indian attars and I am now discovering new scents and understand what a perfume is and all the nomenclature about it. I have spent around 10k just procuring attars from various sources and I am happy with most of them. I agree with you that its nonsensical to purchase such extremely expensive perfumes and we should just maintain a small collection instead of spending way too much money. It is because I am grateful that I have money to spare on this hobby that I can do so. But I hope people who do not won’t waste their money on such an expensive hobby. Looking forward to use my attars and explore even more.

I mean i dont know if this is a fair comparison but just like the music industry, when people start making music just to earn money .. songs start sounding like Tony kakkar .. people slowly start forgetting Nusrat fateh ali and many more Mavericks who gave their entire lives in pursuit of good music. I believe the same is happening in the perfume industry. Companies are backed by money minded heads as opposed to frag heads who live the passion of discovering new fragrances. Sir really great video, yes you are right that it is getting like mixing oils and ethanol. Now being a starter in the perfume community, I have to think about how can a perfume or attar oil can help me in understanding my taste of it. But being bombarded by a lot of paid reviewers, can also limit one’s growth in understanding a perfume.
