What still confuses me to this day - and I would very much love to see you do a video explaining all this - is the difference between these WordPress features, such as block theme, classic theme, FSE theme, difference of blocks vs patterns vs templates vs kits, what the Customizer is and how it differs (if at all) from the theme Editor or theme Options, etc. These are all over the place, and I just wish they would simplify it to a single convention or two.

Yes, it seems that things are in transition and it is taking a long time to move from the "classic" to the new ... the new often seems like it is still in beta.

Fully agree to that

Thank you for the review. We need more tutorials about block editor and block themes 🙏🏼

Great video David, thank you. I think what we're mainly missing at the moment is more tooling. There's a real lack of any generators (with the exception of Create Block Theme in a way). We also need to be able to split theme.json up even more than we can atm (settings.json / block-core-paragraph.json etc.). JSON is just not fun to code with, so we need more help making things smoother and more interesting...

I agree.

But in Tyler Moore most recent YT tutorial he is actually using the Astra theme (which is a classic theme)!

This is the one I saw that uses his theme: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWObqWqpe5iFq8U

@@DavidMcCan That’s pretty creative what he’s doing with his FSE theme. It looks like it’s still in the early stages, but he’ll definitely build it into a business on its own - similar to Brainstorm Force.
