lost my job, mom and aunt in the same year I just took the year off , and no husband .. but by the grace of GOD!! I'm working a better job from home ..great hours and pay ..I cannot sit around and wait on a "maybe" KZbin check for $96 lol

Whoah that is so much to deal with at once, but you persevered. I am so glad to hear that you are doing better. I don’t get any money whatsoever for KZbin lol. I’ll tell you, this has been something else, but I have peace in my heart. Thank you for sharing your story with me.

I worked at various corporate finance and accounting jobs for nearly forty years. All I could stand was 3 or 4 years at each company. When I hear people emotional about losing jobs through layoff or firing it's really bizarre to me. I never got attached to a job or my coworkers, though I liked some of them a lot, they were just extentions of a job that gave me little more than a paycheck. Maybe because I worked in finance I always knew that employees are the least considered in corporate business. Glad to see you didn't let it consume you.
@cartay265 ай бұрын
@@cmbooks2000 I think it is more so because I’m highly resistant to change. Starting over sounded scary but exciting as well. You are right and I’m typically not one to get overly involved in the workplace emotionally, but we’d been through so much together. Losing two partners (who had hired me) to cancer, two mergers that went south, seeing our kids grow up, each others grandkids being born. It really was like a family. However, it only took a few days and I was A-okay.

I'm 56 and plan to retire at 62, and I cant wait. These jobs are so stressful today. They're not fun like the company I work at for 30yrs. I was laid off in 2017, but I started there in 1987. Ive been at my current job for 7yrs. I hope I can finish my working career here, but these companies don't give you a safe feeling any longer.

@@dtr579 You are absolutely correct , and I pray that you enjoy your retirement. I have no doubt you will. Plus 62 is the new 42 :). So many people can’t afford to retire that young, esp these days smh. Thank you for sharing!
