I ordered the paper in an a5 size. I can’t wait to try my fountain pens on it and see the difference from tomoe river paper.

I hope you like it! I do like tamoe river paper better for the most part, but I like the kokuyo paper for printing pages for my planner and more general use.

I really like this method. I was wondering about the Titanium Flex nib. I have been contemplating on getting it. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you! The titanium flex nib seems like it needs a little more pressure, but it does feel sturdier which I like. Some of the stainless steel or gold flex nibs feel on the verge of getting splayed the entire time I use them. It is an interesting nib.

I love all your flex nibs, thank you for sharing ! If you get a Magna Carta, please share that one with us as well, I am also thinking about getting one, but have been hesitant because of the price. Also I have heard mixed reviews about the pens and the performance of the nibs. Have fun with your pen and ink combos ! :)

The mixed reviews are what held me back from the Magna Carta too! I read some that say it has railroading issues and some that don't. I am sure curiosity will get the best of me at some point and when it does, I will definitely share!

No problem!! It doesn’t look like they have the calligraphy nib right now, but I know they go in and out of stock. The Etsy link is to the PenBBS official store though, so I would watch there or maybe send a message. It is a great nib!

Thank you for such an informative video! I have one question. When you change a regular nib to a fex, broad or architecture nib, do you have to change or alter the feed? Does the original pen's feed provide enough ink flow to keep up with a FPR Flex nib?

Thank you so much! With a broad or an architect nib, I usually don't need to change the feed at all. I have put a flex nib on a Jinhau without changing the feed and it works, but it isn't a great writing experience because the plastic feed can't keep up with the flex nib and that results in a lot of railroading. I think flex nibs work best with ebonite feeds. I know some people have modified plastic feeds to have more ink flow by widening the ink channel. So short answer to your questions, I would say no, the original pen's feed usually won't keep up with a flex nib. Hope that makes sense!
