What a good afternoon this was at the Polka Dot Agate Mine digging thundereggs. I would highly recommend this location for those who want an easy access fee dig.
Also, if you want to see some photos of the Polka Dot Agate, which is for sale, but you can no longer dig for at the time of posting, you can go to the listing on my website and see some photos of it.
The Polka Dot Agate Miners Facebook Group is the best place to stay up to date with what they have going on at the mine.

We visited them two years ago and had a great time! Dug some eggs and purchased some nice polka dot agate from one of the piles! He generously gave me a very nice half egg on the house for my birthday! Yep, everything fluoresced under U.V. light.

I love this mine! You can learn a lot about thundereggs just by digging here a few times. There is a green pocket in the middle of the dig area that has some great material!

Excellent rockhounding area you guys took us to. Eggs on top of eggs on top of eggs, WOW! Those helix patterns were craaaazy! Thats awesome you guys were able to dig in that newer peanut butter clay layer. They really had a huge selection laying around to sort through and buy if one doesn't wanna do alot of hard work for material. This place is going on my list. Thank you again for taking us along! That place is really awesome! Just eggs after eggs after eggs! I think its just as easy to check through the discard piles on top of the dig layer, and choose the egg you want! There were some just fabulous half eggs, that you could just pick the size and look you wanted out of the pile! And $2 pr/lbs is a reasonable price for the incredible eggs you can get there. That looks like my next vacation spot! Thanks for sharing. I look forward to seeing your two eggs cut on the website in the future! exciting times!

Looking for opal, Jasper, thunder eggs. On Sunday we are going up to graveyard point to find some beautiful agates. Your videos have help to inspire my friend, Andy and I.

I’d love to visit that place. One day I will.At the moment I’m sitting at red top made out like a bandit today.Couldn’t believe some of the good stuff that I found. So I have a question about red top and what you know about it. If you walk up the main trail which is also called Teanaway ridge trail. I’ve noticed that the material on the left side of the trail is a lot rockier then the right side of the trail the right side of the trail tends to have more loamy dirt and less rocks. I watch one of your videos were you were getting out pretty good size agates and thunder eggs and it look like you were on the left side of the trail where there is more rock. I tend to prefer the right side of the trail where the ground is more loamy and less rock. What do you prefer to dig in the rocky areas or the mower lonely dirt areas and why. Love the videos keep making them I’ve learned quite a bit so far watching them.
