Mr. Batt is living the kind of life we can only dream about--surrounded by the peace and beauty of nature, and close to Mother Earth. A man who can certainly teach us a thing or two about simplicity, like using the handle of the spoon to mix up the curry and geera, and then using the same spoon to stir his pot and dip out the food. Nothing fancy about this guy. He is simple, humble, and wise!!! Mr. Batt is a real Swamy, even though he is eating cascadoo. What a beautiful soul!!

It was good to listen to Mr. Bat talk about days gone by. Each person has their story/history, and there are many 'long time ' stories yet to be told by those who are still around. How nice it would be to have these recorded and shown to the new generations, and before these are lost. Seek those folks out around the island - meet, chat and record their stories. You will definitely get many likes from your subscribers. I remember the tales I've heard from those who were living pre and post WW11 periods. Always interesting. I just came across your vlog and like the way you are respectful in your conversations with Mr. Bat and the other guy who makes 'wine.'

Hi this is so awesome mr bat I love his house kitchen everything it makes me think of the old time days its unspoilt green so beautiful scenery I look at how he is cleaning the cascadoo I'm sure it was delicious with all that fresh seasoning especially the fresh shadow beni I live in El dorado close to caura valley never knew there was such a beautiful waterfall i would love to meet mr bat also go to see the falls mr bat is awesome

Here I am wondering how Mr. Bat caught the cascadoo. In my days I used a fish line with a hook and bread. Over the years the cascadoo became very scarce in the Caura river. The "hanging store" got it's name because they hung their pots and pans and other things they sold from the ceiling. I love these videos it is so good to remember the "Good ole days". Thanks for sharing.
