Curro Hazeldean learner makes SA team for the Paris Olympics - Capping Ceremony

A learner from Curro Hazeldean, Bayanda Walaza, made the South African Olympic team for the 2024 Paris Olympics! In mid-July, the school alongside Cobus Loubser and Mari Lategan - Curro's CEO and Deputy CEO - held a ceremony at which Bayanda, Curro’s first Olympian, received a special cap and blazer in honour of his spectacular achievement.
Bayanda sped his way to the #Paris2024 Olympics by becoming the fastest teenager on the planet and made the Olympics team within the space of just three months! He now joins an impressive team of distinguished athletes that includes athletes such as Akani Simbine, Shaun Maswanganyi, Benjamin Richardson, and Bradley Nkoana.
