"The pretension of life and hostility of life is rubbed away." I completely resonate with his view here. It's good that little boy could see that the repulsion experienced in the day to day can be experienced and that a choice to feel that exists. Great video and fantastic dining table. All the best. Curry and caves should be its own KZbin series, travelling to rocky dens across the world and enjoying an apertured view with a Tikka Masala and a beer. Also: Headland hamburgers Wines and Waterfalls Summit salads

This video is absolutely spot on! The outdoors doesn't have to be about bigger, further, better etc. Just doing something outside, where you are and with what you have, is one of the most rewarding things in life. If you've even only experienced your local park or wood in this way, you'll learn to love and care for it in a whole new way. Take someone outside, young or old, rich or poor, stressed or chilled and lets spread the word!

On my way back to the town of Basics, picking up supplies via the villages of Simplicity, Integrity & Honour. The only thing I WOULD say is a golden no-no when in the hills, even for a wee walk in case of rain or benighted, are denims.

Superb. When I was young and money free I used to make do with very basic gear I had to hand and still managed to go on lots of adventures. If you can afford it then quality gear is wonderful but getting outdoors doesn't need to be and shouldn't be a pissing contest about the best gear and spending loads of money.

3 minutes 9 seconds of common sense...Why the heck do you need the latest fashion specialist trousers, base layers and all that cr*p to see a great sunset? Brilliant video

This guy is saying you don't need expensive gear to have an adventure, yet he's wearing an Arc'teryx jacket, which is about as expensive as you can get! I ask you!!!!

Russell Woodcock Good year is expensive but if you are out a lot it is money well spend. But this gear is by no means necessary to have small adventures. I love my goretex jacket but spend many times outdoors with a € 5 rain jacket from a second hand store

Have a look at Doug Scott the British mountaineer where he speaks about his early travels and what they did and wore on a shoe string, I would say that high end outdoor clothing is probably one of the biggest markets in the second hand trade, I do a fair bit of Climbing and the stuff I picked up on the online auction site really is bargain stuff. There is so much of it that the prices are very reasonable esp if you are a shrewd and happy to wait and buy out of season.. I outfitted myself with copious garments from leading brands for a whole year of mountaineering for about the cost of a North Face jacket new on the high street..

@@manilafixedgear2312 100%. Patagonia are fab. You can take second hand stuff to them and they fix it. All about ethics, environment. People buy cheap primary stuff 10 times over and could have had something to last but don’t want it. Want fast fashion
