CC. As a Malaysian most of us are used to the spicyness. Many of us eats nasi lemak for breakfast. 1. Independence Day parade this year is not held in KL city, but Putrajaya. 2. There are many types of laksa. In Penang Laksa means Asam Laksa, the sour type. In KL/Central region, Laksa means curry noodle (which we also call Laksa). Also you can actually choose your noodle type (yellow noodle, rice vermicelli and so on). 3. I am not sure why they didn't give you the clams in the first place. It is suppose to come together when u order the laksa. Anyway the clams are raw, so it is better if you put it underneath the hot broth to kill any germs. 4. The ''egg'' is actually fishball. 5. Like the laksa, there are more than 1 type or rojak. The one u had is the normal type that is usually served with yellow noodles (called mee rojak). In Penang they have the same rojak without noodle called Pasembur. The other different rojak is the ones with black, shrimp sauce, divided into vege rojak and fruit rojak.

I've been wanting to visit both of those places for a long time. I've been to both previously in my life, but that was a long time ago. I think I'd enjoy hanging out in either place quite a bit.

I went to GBU a few days ago. I saw it on Google Maps and I decided to check it out. They definitely had a vibe. It seemed like a hangout place. This was around lunchtime, and they even had a live band playing Indian music of some kind. I was a bit lost when it came to the menu, however. I wasn't quite sure what kind of restaurant it was or what was good to order. I just ended up with some fried rice and some Kway Teow. It was a weird combination, I guess, but it was okay. I noticed that they had a kind of big Western breakfast on the menu, too. I might have to try that just for the experience. Afterwards, I walked down to that beach area you mentioned. I don't think a lot of people go swimming there. It's not that kind of beach. But there were four or five big groups of people hanging out on the sand or under the nearby shade trees. They had tents and things like that set up. I took some pictures with the huge Ehsan Sea View Hotel looming above the water.

That's good to hear. This was shot using my older GoPro Hero 9. The Hero 12 was still in the shop being checked over. So, it's good that even the humble Hero 9 is doing well.

I love some curry laksa or curry me or prawn noodles for breakfast myself but I can only handle 1 per week to be honest.. lol!

Once a week sounds about right. I had curry laksa again about a week later at another place in my Port Dickson neighborhood. It was good, too, but it also packed a punch in terms of flavor. It's probably not something you'd want every day. Once a week sounds good.

Nice to see the thick white original laksa noodles in your laksa. All other types of noodles used in modern day laksa is just some corrupted variance. Fishy stuff normally is sardine.. In your laksa dish at Big Sista, the owner mentioned small fish, most probably referring to ikan bilis (anchovies). Personally, I have been used to having sweet and savoury stuff for breakfast with a cup of condesed milk coffee. Anything, reddish orange as gravy was a no no as it signifies red chillie stuff. This coloured stuff is more for lunch.. As a Malaysian, I started eating Nasi Lemak when I was 30 years old, quite embarassing indeed.. In my primary school days nasi lemak was just 5 or 10 sen a small pyramid shape package. Yet, I never tried eating it as it was not usual stuff I have for breakfast.

The woman running the stall asked me which noodles I wanted, and I just tried to ask her to give me whatever noodles were considered traditional for this type of dish. And that's what I ended up with. They were good.

Are there any official GoPro service centre here in malaysia?
@PlanetDoug
@PlanetDoug 2 ай бұрын
As far as I know, there isn't. When I brought my Hero 12 back to the store for servicing under warranty, they said that if there was a problem with it, they would have to send it to Singapore for testing and repair. That's the closest place with an official GoPro service centre.

@@PlanetDoug I see. To be honest I wouldn't let any 3rd party companies to repair if I hv a problematic GoPro 😅, Unless they are authorized by GoPro.

No, I don't watch IShowSpeed. I hadn't even heard of him or his KZbin channel until you mentioned his name. After I read your comment, I scanned the videos on his channel, and he seems to come from the world of Twitch, IRL, and live video game streaming. I know that Twitch and video game streaming is a huge industry, but I don't know anything about them. I don't really even know what Twitch is, and I've never played video games of any kind. So that's a completely unfamiliar world to me. The vast majority of his KZbin videos are also video game live stream recordings going back nine years. He has a lot of those. But then he seems to have switched to a kind of stunt KZbin style. I guess he's similar to guys like Jake Paul and KSI and PewDiePie. I clicked on a couple of IShowSpeed KZbin videos just to see what he was all about, but I could only last a few seconds before I had to turn them off. That's not my world. I felt embarrassed just watching the videos. I guess kids like that sort of thing, but I don't get it at all.

Port Dickson = Mae sot 😅
@PlanetDoug
@PlanetDoug 3 ай бұрын
Port Dickson definitely has a Mae Sot vibe to it. Similar size anyway. It's a nice small town to hang out in. It would certainly be nice to have a scooter here in PD. There is probably a lot more to see and experience in the nearby countryside and up and down the coast. But that's a bit too far to go regularly on foot or even on a bicycle.

At the time or maybe later on, the word "cockle" popped into my brain. I had an idea that they were cockles. But I didn't really even know what cockles were. I don't eat a lot of seafood, so I'm not familiar with clams and cockles and things like that. They packed a lot of flavor, that's for sure.
