Cursed 2 - Hardcore Playthrough and New Ending (No Commentary)

Cursed 2 by DisasterSquad received a new update adding a number of extras along with a new hardcore mode that makes the game notably more challenging. You have one life with a cursed ring that slowly drains your HP and the jar can only be filled once with healing juice. Level ups don't heal you and if you die your save is deleted. A new ending is gained for completing the true ending on hardcore.
After a normal run to de-rust I played through and was able to win. However, I grinded significantly to make the knight fight trivial as that's the only fight I wasn't confident with. The few other points that remain difficult are the skull puzzle (if you get bad RNG) and the Malus chase if you don't pay attention and have Jennifer die. Early game is particularly rough since you need level ups to boost your mind stat to use the healing scroll but until several points are invested in mind the healing is really weak and any hits you take can force you to risk the run or wait a long while to heal up.
The ending is truly worth it though.
When I get more time I want to retry after optimizing the route and getting better at completing fights (especially the knight) at lower levels.

1:16:52 This is exactly how I lost on my first attempt. Missed the dodge on the 1st strike, which completely messed up the timing for the rest. Big difference though is that I was too confident in myself and didn't grind (and also foolishly neglected defense and health for max power and speed), so after losing basically all my HP I lost all morale (and then my life) lol

how to grind start the game in the station grab the bottle of hp and go to fill it go jen house return to station go where was the bin with bullets wait enemies spawn kill and wait again pick power if u are good with dodge, if not pick defense red skulls can easy kill you with spam laser eyes ,kill them faster, bats are easy if damaged go refill hp bottle mostly i started the game with full str and speed

That might work in normal mode but in hardcore the healing potion can only be used once and you're constantly losing health from having the cursed ring equipped, so you need at least a point in Mind and the green scroll from Jen's house to stay alive.

Also, here's what i think how the third game hardcore could be like - More enemy spawning (you got to fight minimun 2 enemies) - Enemies are smarter (While one attacks you, the other goes behind you) - To get the crystals, you got to do OTHER Steps 1. Kill all bosses who normally drop the crystal 2. Kill the enemies that spawn at the scarecrow area (with more enemy spawning) 3. Survive the midnight fighting without hiding 4. I can't recall - Mimics can disguise as quest items or items that you will normally need

@@CrankyTemplar I might need more help. The gem weight puzzle is absolutely destroying me. I eliminate a lot of the possibilities, but I always guess wrong. I swear, 4 chances on the scale is just not enough for me.

@@GuardianStriker There's a few ways to do it but I go 4 and 4 for the first set. If it's even, you know it's the four not on the scale. Take them all off and put 1 and 1 from the remaining 4 on the scale for the 2nd round. If even, you know it's one of the remaining two. Keep one of the fake gems on and test the remaining two - if it's even you know the other gem is correct and if uneven it's the one on the scale. If the first round is uneven, then set aside some gems from the scale to go 2 and 2. If even, remove them and go 1 and 1 from the remaining gems, and for the last set use a fake gem to test the last two as above (if uneven, remove a gem and use a fake gem or if even test with a fake gem). If the second round is uneven test similarly until you discover the real gem. It's probably easier to show than actually type out an explanation so I hope that helps.

@@CrankyTemplar Thanks. A shame I didn't see this earlier, because I screwed up one step and ended up testing 2 and 2 gems. They were even, so I only had one chance left. Removed one of them from each scale, tested, they were even. So it was the two other gems still on the tray. I tested my luck with them, relying on a 50-50 chance that I either get the right one, or explode and ending my Hardcore run right there...luck favored me and I got the right one.

Lunatic mode Enemies deal more damage to you while you do less damage to them. Enemies no longer drop health pickups. No more leveling up,and therefore, no upgrading stats.
