Cursive, if what I've heard so far of "Get Fixed" as to the rest of the album I'm going to be as impressed with this as I am with "Vitriola" thank you so much for putting out such a great album so close on the heels of your last album.

Don't know if i get the lyrics right. Is it about fall of the Berlin wall and Polish revolution during 80s? Seems like it for me.

It's about White Privilege/Supremacy in America a current issue.

@@Nobodyragnarok You wouldn't say it's currently an issue? I mean the lyrics are pretty clear.

The song is way more anti white than that. Sings about symptoms rather than the cause. Feel good shit deserving of 9k views.

This is SUCH a good song. I wonder when this was written because it sounds like it'd fit right in on Vitriola?
@thejoker8947STC5 жыл бұрын
It was actually written around the same time, and so were the others. I heard that they had made enough songs to create two albums. Unsure if this is true.

Everyone who has the capability to give their children a life of comfort, shelter and entitlement does so. Bronny James or Jayden Smith haven't grown up in the hood. They've grown up entitled and sheltered. Making a class issue into a race issue is cheap and disingenuous. Tim needs to be better than jumping on the anti white bandwagon with illogical content.

Nah man. If you are from a wealthy family I guarantee you grew up in comfort and entitlement regardless of your race.

@@8BitChad actually black children are taught from a young age about the world and how people might view them, regardless of wealth. they do have a stronger shield but they still face racism and harm. they are not nearly as sheltered as white suburb families typically keep their children. this song is also talking from tim kasher's own experience as one of those sheltered white kids. i was a poor white kid who grew up without being sheltered from my black, hispanic, native and asian peers who were also poor which gave me the perspective of the differences in struggle that can depend on certain factors. doesnt get rid of my suffering but helps me understand in what ways others suffered and what else needs to be helped in the world. on the other hand, my poor white peers who were sheltered from other races cant seem to see the differences and typically believe that its all class and that they are making too much of a fuss about race. also completely ignoring the lyrics talking about the white flight and redlining in the song, things that have historically barred non-white races from enjoying that comfort and entitlement.
