The social commentary of this song speaks volumes. "When the horrors over and the greenback's all but trash/Our currency will be our head and hands" Tim Kasher. Considering our petrol dollar will collapse in 2 to 3yrs and our environment seems to be collapsing as well, this song is frighteningly accurate. The video itself has layers of symbolism, each character playing a part of The U.S. society, morals, economy, military, business, and banking. Each action that every character takes in this video is a micro version of U.S. Society itself. I may be looking too much into this and see what I want to see but the lyrics however seem to back up a lot of what I got out of the video. Tim Kasher thanks again for writing another amazing album. It was a charm and treat to talk to you for the few minutes I did when you toured through San Antonio this last year.
