I find Cursive to be *very* hit or miss for me. I absolutely adore Ugly Organ and Vitriol. Don't really care much for anything in between, and Devourer is the first album since Vitriol I've fallen in love with. The other albums all have good song or two on them but it seems that either I love the entire album or I can put it by the wayside. Having said that when they hit, they hit *hard*. Botch Job (and the entire Devourer album) is a banger for sure.

Back in June I was able to be a part of the bright eyes music video shoot for Bells and Whistles and we shot here at this theater! So rad to see it in another awesome bands video!

Howdy fellow Michiganders! I was standing in the front row at this show wearing a Stryder shirt. The Casket Lottery was the opening band and they also crushed it… right around when Domestica and Moving Mountains came out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4DOqX-OqqqKqKc Seriously though it’s been nearly a quarter of a century since that show and they’re still kicking ass. Good for them!

I don't know why but my back has goosebumps all down it. Back of the tops of my arms too. This has me so pumped...I imagine myself ripping up the road at 20 mph on my bike using this beat to keep the pace. Wow that closing with the horns and keys really adding to the sound. Incredible really!

I think they have that planned, already. Unless I've got the dates wrong, their next tour starts either a couple weeks before or after the official album drop.

Cursive tried way harder on Vitriola and Get Fixed than anyone could have reasonably expected for a band that's been around since the 90s. Looks like they pulled a glass beach, and after five years, now they actually have the SONGS to reward their creativity. I wouldn't be surprised if Devoured ended my AOTY based on these singles.
