My parents were immigrants to this great country. They fled a war torn land. Dad was a police lieutenant and mom was an accountant. It took them 16 years to be granted to come to the US after many applications, background checks and various health screenings. Employers should be liable for hiring undocumented people. I know they were doing that in Texas in the late 70s. Just wanna say "Hi, and thank you " to Mr.Silwa.. I remember him from many years ago( i was maybe 15 yrs old) . He and and a girl , maybe his sister,saved me from getting jumped ,stabbed, while getting on the subway back in the early 80's.
