J'ai d'abord lu "La peau" et ensuite "Kaputt". Ce furent, par certains passages, des coups de poings littéraires parmi les plus puissants que j'aie reçus. Ses descriptions de moments de guerre, au feu, sont emblématiques. Sur ce point il s'aligne sur Céline et, ou Blaise Cendrars. En évoquant la dèr des dèr, 14-18 et que je connaisse et me souvienne. Mais je garde un souvenir imprégné de ces deux œuvres. Me faire rire aux larmes et plus loin me faire pleurer, touché au coeur, il y en a peu.

Malaparte est provincial, banal, mondain, répétitif, démonstratif, prétentieux, sentimental et hypocrite. Vrai fasciste, faux militaire, faux "résistant", il est l'incarnation du "Moi, je" à l'italienne. Rien à voir avec Céline.

He took the name Malaparte as the opposite of Buonaparte another Italian. That is Bad Part (Mala Parte) as opposed to Good Part (Buona Parte)
