Well done sir. The dusting black is genius, as mold, dirt, and road grime accumulates just like that. The dark patches look like crunchy rust you could put your finger through. Ya, i might go for this myself when I get up the nerve hahahaha.

I really wish more people would do the patina paint job if they like the look rather than letting the cars rot. I did a video (on a practice piece) just to show that it ain’t that hard. I like your work, I’ll definitely be following you!

Awesome job brother! The time-consuming masking is one reason i went to brush-painting characters and lettering on my vehicles: Much less prep. I admire your skill and patience that's for sure.

Super rad paint work brother. I’ve got a 59’ Apache that I’m slowly building. A lot slower than I’d like but life, money, and physical limitations get in the way so you gotta roll with it. I’d love to make contact so that when I’m at the paint stage maybe I can be a customer instead of just a fan. Until then keep on keeping on. Peace.

This is absolutely awesome! But, please PLEASE use a tripod or slow down the movement of the camera next time. I want to take in the details and learn from your expertise. Not have seizures or migraines. Surely I'm not the only one. Still, thanks for the video. Great work. Hopefully I can get some similar results after watching you though I don't expect mine to turn out near as well as yours.

All good That was my first vid I did recording my work if you notice first half is just pics of the door then I thought I should record this and like try tictok....... KZbin is a better fit So yea every time I do a vid I’m getting better, I think. Better lighting, mics, tripods and cameras, but I still shot with a iPhone right now Been cutting down my vid time too like around 8 mins or so trying to make it entertaining without dragging out If you have any questions about anything ask away been at it 25plus years on Facebook same name

@@canyoncustomair I think you did an awesome job! I would like to see longer videos on the process. I painted and patina all the cabinets and whole door in our shop 3 years ago…everyone that sees it says it looks really cool. That was my first time ever doing anything like it and I was so proud of it that I started doing it on other things out in the shop like big old metal filing cabinets and my husband’s work desk. Once you do it, you’ve got it and its addictive. I enjoyed watching you as I’ve never done a vehicle, and My dad gave me his old truck that I want to try this on. My son has painted cars, so I’d like it to be a mom and son project…and since my son has been begging me for that truck, I’m going to pass it down to him when its finally finished. My husband sells auto body paints to shops so I have the opportunity and supplies to do it. So funny cause my husband hates to paint and I love it. I’ve been artistic my whole life and I really enjoy watching other artists such as you. Thank you for sharing your creativity!

@canyoncustomair10 ай бұрын
everything comes and goes ... its like trendy tattoos you can see the time period people got it done by the trend example some tribal and popular at the time video game logos like mortal combat etc but to me in the case of rat rods i like them more because for a while hot rods had to be super high end and flawless and not everyone can afford that . its nice to see people out riding around in a old ratted out car than it just sitting in the shed not finished cause hot rod higher ups say need it this way or that but yes i do agree with you also that rat rodding some times is ugh same stuff rat rod in the chopper world and its dumb half the time just my thoughts
