if you got a android 2in 1 you got a head unit.. if you got a touch screen laptop you got a head unit... u just need to install android to it... 10 minutes install.

When head unit connected to tab or mobile charging works ? If not either tab or iPhone turns off then nothing works ?

@@user-ec7ry8qo8n nope😂, but the smartest thing is to get an amp with built in bluetooth ir to add BT FUNC to an amp and use separate connections for CarPlay and audio

What I really want is a way to get an Android phone to present its apps to a fully integrated CarPlay-capable head unit. BMW made CarPlay available to the 2018 X3 but no Android auto - so when I bought the car it forced me to ditch my beloved Samsung Galaxy Note and buy an iPhone. Now let my state for the record: I HATE iOS. It’s a goddamn piece of crap. The number of times I’ve been sorely tempted to chuck this phone out of the window… The only alternative I currently have is to wire some expensive, poorly integrated 3rd party CarPlay/Android auto box into my existing head unit. But I don’t want to screw with my car and I don’t want to spend £500 on an additional CarPlay unit because I already have properly integrated CarPlay, and I won’t do all that for an Android Auto implementation that I would need to switch over manually. I want the world to invent a way for an Android phone to wirelessly talk to a vanilla CarPlay head unit and give me apps on it. Is that too much to ask?
