Vladimir is the man. I just finished installing it on my 2017 340i. Everything on his end was perfect. All of the issues I ran into were on my end. First I had a hard time downloading the “Feature Installer” application. I discovered that was because Windows Defender was blocking it. Once I granted the proper permissions it downloaded no problem. Next issue I had was that there was a checkbox on my headunit saying to use wifi antenna that i had to search for. This was probably because I just installed the wifi antenna an hour prior and hadn’t even run the car yet. Last issue I ran into was that the CarPlay option was not showing up in the menu but like Vladimir shows in his videos, I reset the headunit by holding down the volume button. Mine took about 25-30 seconds to reboot. After that I followed his instructions in this video and it fired right up. I am glad I stumbled across Vladimir’s videos rather than pay $700 at the dealership or $300+ with other vendors. Installation difficulty was 2/10 Customer service from Vladimir 10/10 Cheers from NY.

Vladimir was great. The whole process was so simple and fast. It took me about 30 minutes to install the wifi antenna and about 10 to download/run the software. This is definitely the way to go if you are looking to add CarPlay to your BMW. Highly recommend!

Came across your channel looking to add CarPlay after putting up without for a year or so and thanks Vladimir…following video it was a breeze to install and took no more than about an hour including locking/waiting for 30mins after installing antenna and flashing the head unit as CarPlay didn’t appear straight away but did so after that. Emailed Vladimir to start with to double confirm compatible head unit and emailed back quickly. Used the telegram bot and had the code within an hour after payment and downloaded feature installer. Only slight difference was it didn’t ask for code until clicking identify but everything ran as described after that. Would highly recommend the service to anyone as is very easy to do and significantly cheaper than dealership. Thanks again!👍🏻

Hi, thanks for uploading this video very helpful, just wondering once you have removed the code when visiting dealer does this eliminate all issues? As I hear if the dealer does a software update it can brick the ecu? Once CarPlay removed before visit does that stop that?

CarPlay activation cannot cause ecu bricking during SW update. Sw update is risky process by its own. Sw update will erase all codings and activation. Needs to be done again.

Thanks Vladimir! You were really helpful and patient with me in the couple of issues I had. This process was really simple and CarPlay now works great in my F20 with EntryNav2. I had a problem where the software wouldn't connect to the required server, but that is because I was using it on an antique windows 7 laptop. Changed to run the Feature Installer in windows 10 in Parallels on a macbook pro and it worked first time.

BimmerCode will not be able to work with heaunit after CarPlay activation So make all coding prior to that

АндроидАвто только как шаринг экрана будет работать. Т.е. с Айфоном будет работать как надо, в штатном режиме? И второй вопрос, телеграм бот на английском работает на оплату, на русском нет. NBT Evo supports only CarPlay and android screen mirroring. Android auto was introduced only starting from MGU.

Hello Vladamir, I really like your video, I'm having trouble connecting to my carplay , It's constantly looking for a connection to the vehicle. I have the 6WD but not the 6CP in my vehicle, do I need to install the 6CP antenna also. I updated my maps and had carplay and video in motion install, video in motion work fine yet i can not get carplay apps to load. Really looking forward to your advise.

Android auto is not supported by NBT EVO. Maximum is screen mirroring.

Hi Vladimir. I bought apple CarPlay for my BMW and it is working fine. Unfortunately the Evo map was disabled and now the head unit asks for a valid code. I do not it use the Evo map, but I'm thinking on the day when I sell the car. The question for you is "Do you have a simple procedure using an usb stick to enable the map?" Here in Chile I can't find a Net cable such as the one you showed. Thanks!

Hi, It depends what was done before and why navigation asks for the code. But patching HU should solve the issue You can purchase the code from my bot. Select your car region (southern America) You will need southern America maps as well. I can generate fsc for the maps, but I don’t have maps for all regions in the world )

Hi, Wo navigation you can still have CarPlay if you have entrynav2 HU. The must conditions are: - BMW software minimum 2018 year - Wi-Fi antenna output is present (pls check physically) If your SW level is 2020 or above then full screen CarPlay is supported (in case of wide screen. It means you have 3 tiles not 2)

@Bimmerdoc I just got a late 2016 140i. It has IDrive 5. NBTevo_H and 2021-3 map pack. I want to update it to have Apple car play and latest map pack. It doesn’t have wifi antenna yet but I ordered one online. I was wondering whether to get new map and CarPlay or just update the firmware to a newer version to have full screen car play. If I do the firmware upgrade, would I get new maps and Apple car play with it automatically, or would I still need to install maps and car play in addition to the firmware upgrade?

Yes, your version at the moment does not support full screen CarPlay. So if you need full screen, then SW update is a must. In that case order code from my bot for new software already. You will have Y version after the update.

@@BimDoc ok great thanks. And just to be clear, for that I need an Enet cable and also wifi antenna installed? Also, can I just get the single update to Y, or do I also need to buy apple CarPlay and new maps additionally, or are they all included with the firmware update to Y?

CarPlay came from 2016. So you bmw does not support CarPlay.

Hi Vladimir, I have a BMW X4 G02, which I assume I have a pre-installed wifi antena, but the problem I face, is the weak connection of the wifi or my carplay is not connecting automatically with carplay. My iPhone sometimes cannot find the Wifi of my BMW. What could be the problem? Do you have any ideas? Thanks in advance! Greetings from Austria!

Some headunits can be establish connection wo Wi-Fi antenna, but it will be unstable. I guess it’s your case. Check for Wi-Fi antenna presence.

HI! It seems to be very smooth method. However, Apple CarPlay is already activated in my BMW, but the steering wheel's song skip button is not working. I just wonder if there is any solution that can fix this problem???!!

CarPlay in bmw just mirrors your iPhone apps. So try to update iOS for beginning. It might help.

@@BimDoc It is a retrofitted NBT EVO, my car did not it have originally. I have had this problem since the activation of CarPlay (which is done by a guy). I think he must have missed something.I tried that and tried other iPhones with the latest IOS. Tried to disconnect the iPhone from the car and connect it again, nothing worked

does your code can upgrade firmware ID4 to ID 6 or at least install carplay on bmw series 116i 2015? I havent checked if it has antenna or not. also, can I add mirror display on a g30 2017 that already has carplay from factory?

Id4 to id6 requires reflashing first and only then CarPlay activation can be made. So bot cannot help with that. Screen mirroring is always included in all my activation as a bonus. (But it can be made separately also)
