Vladimir is the man. I just finished installing it on my 2017 340i. Everything on his end was perfect. All of the issues I ran into were on my end. First I had a hard time downloading the “Feature Installer” application. I discovered that was because Windows Defender was blocking it. Once I granted the proper permissions it downloaded no problem. Next issue I had was that there was a checkbox on my headunit saying to use wifi antenna that i had to search for. This was probably because I just installed the wifi antenna an hour prior and hadn’t even run the car yet. Last issue I ran into was that the CarPlay option was not showing up in the menu but like Vladimir shows in his videos, I reset the headunit by holding down the volume button. Mine took about 25-30 seconds to reboot. After that I followed his instructions in this video and it fired right up. I am glad I stumbled across Vladimir’s videos rather than pay $700 at the dealership or $300+ with other vendors. Installation difficulty was 2/10 Customer service from Vladimir 10/10 Cheers from NY.

My bot supports NBT EVO and ENTRYNAV2 If you have newer HU (MGU for example, then CarPlay is doable but not via bot any more. Process is a bit more complicated)

Came across your channel looking to add CarPlay after putting up without for a year or so and thanks Vladimir…following video it was a breeze to install and took no more than about an hour including locking/waiting for 30mins after installing antenna and flashing the head unit as CarPlay didn’t appear straight away but did so after that. Emailed Vladimir to start with to double confirm compatible head unit and emailed back quickly. Used the telegram bot and had the code within an hour after payment and downloaded feature installer. Only slight difference was it didn’t ask for code until clicking identify but everything ran as described after that. Would highly recommend the service to anyone as is very easy to do and significantly cheaper than dealership. Thanks again!👍🏻

Thanks Vlad!! Fast and helpfull response. My activation process was super easy, except rebooting of headunit. Pressing the power button over 3 minutes and nothing happening. The rebootting won`t start. Then i remember that if lock the car for about 10 minutes then headunit reboot itselv. And boom, CarPlay was appear for selection.

On some hardware versions holding volume button just do not help. Closing the car for 20-30 min will also cause restart if HU)

Totally worked for me. Make sure you use a laptop with no firewalls indeed. Company laptop not recommended 😊. Activation took no more than 5 minutes. Connecting the iphone took a couple of tries but succeeded eventually.

Adding Carplay-package to my BMW i3 120 2019 was supereasy and worked as Vladimir explains except for one thing. When done with the pc-thing it´s said you should reset the headunit by pressing the volumebutton for 30 sec to be able to see the Carplay-option in the menu. That didn´t work on my car. Holding the volumebutton did not make the unit to reset. But locking down the car, leaving the car to fall asleep for about 15 minutes, and then unlock, enter and turn on. And voila, the Carplay-option appeared. Everything works like a charm!

Jep. On some HU holding volume button does not cause a restart. But closing the car and allowing it to sleep will give the same result.

Thanks Vladimir! You were really helpful and patient with me in the couple of issues I had. This process was really simple and CarPlay now works great in my F20 with EntryNav2. I had a problem where the software wouldn't connect to the required server, but that is because I was using it on an antique windows 7 laptop. Changed to run the Feature Installer in windows 10 in Parallels on a macbook pro and it worked first time.

It will almost work. It means your HU can support CarPlay but the software in it is a bit too old for that. So you need to update software first and then CarPlay will work. (Even with a full screen)

NBT Evo supports only CarPlay and android screen mirroring. Android auto was introduced only starting from MGU.

I was skeptical about this. I paid and waited for the obd2 and WiFi connection. I installed the software but it wasn’t working. Thankfully once I connected the WiFi antenna it worked perfectly 10/10. Waaay cheaper and easier than a decoder
