Excellent, Dave. You make a complex topic seem simple and straightforward. Here's a challenge for you - how about a custom button card that can represent the contents of a vessel with a graduated colour fill of the icon?
@3ATIVE2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Ash, hopefully you find it useful for you dashboard. Challenge already complete LOL I made a Battery Level indicator for another viewer a while back.

Excellent. Where can I find it?

@@mindracing Here you go, I re-wrote it for you: styles: card: - background: | [[[ var pct = 100-states["input_number.tut_slider_brightness"].state return 'linear-gradient(rgb(0,0,0, 10%) '+pct+'%, rgb(0, 255, 0, 50%) 0%)' ]]] This uses "input_number.tut_slider_brightness" which goes between 0-100 - But, change this to your entity. In the line: "return 'linear-gradient(rgb(0,0,0, 10%) '+pct+'%, rgb(0, 255, 0, 50%) 0%)'" - This has a (10% opacity) Black Background and the level is (50% opacity) Green.

Here is me checking for the icon glow tutorial for the 700th time in 2 months.... you sure know how to build suspense :P. By the way your tutorials are legendary

Duuude... I soooo forgot about this and got totally side-tracked by other projects - My Bad 🙄 🎬 I'll get it filmed asap. Also, "legendary" - Not sure about that, but I appreciate the compliment. Thank you. 💖

Dave, your custom button cards are amazing, following your previous videos on custom cards, I have some awesome cards which include a gyrating washing machine icon when it is being used and different coloured frames for interactive boolean style cards. Look forward to implementing your work on the latest cards you are creating. From another Dave.

Thanks Dave. It's always great to hear ppl are using my li'videos and even better to get such nice feedback. 👍👍

I think I've watched all these videos 3 times and I've used so much out of them, thank you. On this video, you were working out the oscillator for an oscillating fan and that's great (I use this icon for several fans). Do you have any ideas to animate a ceiling fan icon instead? I'm not sure how to rotate the icon on that axis or if that's even possible. It's such a silly thing but if I could have the variable speed fan animation for a ceiling fan, that would be awesome.
@3ATIVE2 жыл бұрын
Glad to hear my li'tutorials were useful for you, thanks for the feedback. 👍 Hmmm... a Ceiling Fan... now there's a challenge. Lemme have a think about it and see what I can come up with.
