What are your thoughts on EFI? I have a Fitech but I can never seem to get it to run right so thinking about switching back over to a carb and I’ll definitely buy this kit!

I should do a video on this topic, I get this question a lot. :) I like EFI, and I would like to install it on my car for all the same reasons why people make the switch to EFI. But there's something about understanding, tinkering, and tuning Carbs that is becoming a lost art. It's difficult to defend an outdated and arguably inferior fuel and air delivery system, but there are still a lot of them out there and just as many people looking for answers on how to make them work on their vehicle. If I can help a few of those people get their vehicle back on the road, then it makes me feel good. :)

Are you not using your choke? It looked like the power was disconnected. The choke on my new Summit carb is causing problems. A voice in the back of my head keeps saying, "Disconnect it or try and convert it to manual."

The end of that hardline is a female -6AN fitting, and the mating end of my fuel line kit is a female -6AN fitting, so all you need is a male to male -6AN fitting to connect the two. :)

Do you have the part number for just the fitting adapter to the stock fuel pump? I have been looking for that for years. I have the kit that goes from the edelbrock carb to the fuel filter, down to the fuel pump. I had one parts house get through everything trying to find an adapter. PS Electric power steering coming soon? 🙂

Haha, the EPAS is still on my list, but it keeps getting pushed down by other projects. It’ll probably be a $2k upgrade, so I keep finding excuses to buy other parts.

I like your channel because you show the good the bad and the ugly. Curious question: what experience do you have with cars? Some of the things you do are beyond what I would do.

Thanks! I am older than I look, I’ve been working on and tinkering on cars for over 30 years. I also have other experience and background that extends beyond what is seen on KZbin, but that conversation is for another time. 🙂
