A couple of good tips on fabrication. #1 Always pull the cut when using a cutoff wheel. In other words, the sparks should be spraying towards you as you cut in the direction the sparks are going. You'll never bind and/or break a disk that way. #2 Turn down your "post flow". It sounds like you have 2 seconds of post flow after you stop a weld. That's going to eat up a lot of gas, especially when tack welding parts. .5 seconds or less post flow should be fine for steel. Trust me, you'll save a lot of $ in wasted welding gas and time to go and get your tanks refilled. Keep up the awesome work guys. The build is coming along nice.

Great idea maki g a jig. It keeps the heim joints on the same plane to minimize misalignment that would create binding and squeaking.

RBG A-arms, put me on the list to buy some. Also, your brother needs to be in more vids with more speaking parts. One more thing, When welding up those A-arms, there needs to be small breather holes drilled into the tubing. That way you can finish up the welding and not get those pin holes/splatter at the end of your weld. I know you guys probably know this but I just didn't see it during the A-arms fabrication.

an idea for a semi auto oiler for both the band saw and the tubing notcher would be to pick up some plain white felt, make a holder that holds it against the blade and the hole saw. just oil the felt at the beginning of the day before you start fabbing and it should help extend the life of the blade and the hole saw. just a thought.

Great videos keep up the great work. Maybe you could put a couple bolt studs on that template. And a flat bar across using nuts to hold the arms when welding. This way you don't need a second pair of hand getting in the shot or your welding?

Red Beard I have a question. I got one of those China side by sides with a bad motor and was thinking of installing a snowmobile motor it. Something between a 500cc-800cc. This way I get the belts, clutch and maybe reverse. I figure going from the clutch to the axle maybe a issue but do you know if there are any other issues or if the motors just don’t work good in a side by side? Thanks

I don't see how anyone would see the predator as a good option a heavily modified 670 running flat out can be out done by a stock 450 dirt bike motor plus you get a nice gearbox and clutch thrown in. In something this size something like a gsxr600 would fit nicely and even the very first early 90s model had 80hp stock getting upto 124hp if you can get a late model wreck
@shaynegadsden
@shaynegadsden 5 жыл бұрын
@@inthewoods5471 what bullshit those predator engines are everywhere and not because they are good or top quality but because they are cheap and easy to fit, as for what "his audience likes" well I watch the videos so I would be his audience also i see many comments suggesting a bike or snowmobile engine for most of the builds so that is just wrong too
@shaynegadsden
@shaynegadsden 5 жыл бұрын
@@inthewoods5471 it's a recommendation no one said he had to do it just that in our opinion a more powerful engine would suit the build better for most people unless someone is being rude feedback and suggestions are encouraged

@shaynegadsden 5 жыл бұрын
@@inthewoods5471 you seem to be the one ranting I never said I hated anything just suggested what i see as some better options, cheap and simple motors have their place but looking at this cart I think it would benefit from the extra power which more than a predator motor can achieve and have any kind of life span
