Custom Headers and Footers in Microsoft Word (Updated for 2024)

I have a problem with add a header because when I want to add it, it always show me a table and I Can’t see my header added Idk what is the problem

I would like to see directions on how to edit existing headers/footers that have been set differently for different sections.

Excellent overview of Header/Footer options. Now, I need to enter the current Heading 2 as part of my page header. (If a new Heading 2 appears on the current page, either the new Heading 2 or the previous Heading 2 would be fine) I have tried, but not succeeded. Can this be done, and how?
