Actually this may be the best time in history to get bowling lanes installed into your basement with all the abandoned bowling alleys out there right now. If one knows of any bowling center going out of business where the machines and lanes may likely be scrapped, one might even be able to get the stuff for free. Then if one is lucky enough to know the right people, perhaps the lanes could be installed for only the price of the beer consumed during installation. This is all supposing the person is mechanically inclined enough to maintain something like an old Brunswick A2.

you can buy those steel barns and use half for a garage or shop and the other half for a game / bar room you just have to have insulation and HVAC on the alley side.
