The House Bowling

Күн бұрын

Two bowling lanes, two DRASTICALLY different conditions. The left lane has ZERO oil, and the right lane has more oil than you've ever seen. We had the oiling machine run a 47 foot pattern, twice. Can the boys break 200?

Haha... I actually had someone tell me there isn't enough oil on his lane yesterday (24mil house shot) with a house ball... So, I whipped up a 52ft pattern with 35mils.... Watched his ball go down the lane at 24mph and he says "yea, 24mph is about where it should be if it's oiled right..." I took a deep breath and said "good deal"..

That ain't a flooded bowling lane at all, there's still a pattern. Try no pattern at all (like every duckpins and candlepins alley) and triple pass.

@@TheHouseBowling And oil from the foul line to the king pin. That how the lanes of every other type of bowling are oiled (but single pass of course)

@@AlexGeorgebowling thanks for the info. I get why centers are having to do this, it's already a really tough market because bowling centers take up a lot of square feet which means a whole lot of property tax and it's 90% cheaper to use strings vs mechanics. But it's also sad.

When did they switch the union to string pins?

I was actually expecting to see them play 1 game alternating between the 2 lanes. Would have made it much harder to get used to the lane conditions.
