Gorgeous van Danny! Super retro looking. I basically just did the same on the glass in my newest build. I shot it with clear polyurethane. I was one of those kids who owned a few of these vans. You built one not only kid me would have played with but one I'd drive today.

Sweet build. I love the boogie vans. I noticed you painted all of your side indicators yellow. In the US the rear ones should be red like the tail lights. I saw Matchbox garage did the same thing on a recent build. Just food for thought. Cheers.

I wasn't digging the paint color at first either but the graphics really changed my mind. And of course the paint always look better in person. I couldn't see the metal flake.. Wish i could see what it really looks like cause i bet its badazz... Still trying to figure out this computer program so i can make my own decals.. its taking me forever cause i'm a diptard when it comes to computers.. Love your videos.

I use 2-56 screws for the base normally but with smaller posts you can try a 1-72 screw so the post does not blow out.

Although I never saw a van look like this in the 70s, I liked the way it came out. It certainly was a homage to the 70s. But.....without either side mirrors or rear door windows, the driver is going to find lane changes a real adventure. See ya next time.

Good job restoring the van..i had a couple of these when I was a kid back in the 1980s..i think those vans were Dodge vans that explains the body bulge on the back doors..i'd like to see you restore a hot wheels Baja breaker van in your videos😊😊😊

I owned a ford van with a similar paint job that I ordered from the Ford Motor Company the paint color was called cinnamon glow it also had beige yellow and orange stripes on the sides , rear doors and bonnet it was called the cruising van.

What happened to the rear bumper Danny; is that caused by the post splitting during tapping? When you started with the brown, I thought we were getting a rusty van. Surprised how "glam" it turned out. Your waterslides make a huge difference, not nearly as "busy" as the stuff HW used. The simple black ones, below the main graphics, are very cleverly done - same with the rear ones. You certainly captured that 70s look.👌
