That was a different and interesting take on a multi-tool sheath. I don't think SOG will appreciate your repeatedly calling their Powerlock by the name of their rival company, though. If you think your SOG sheath was inadequate, you should have seen mine. It had the same basic design except for the fact that the sides did not come up as high as on yours. Coupled with the loose original fit, the lack of original stitching (allowing the leather to pivot around the rivets), and use-related stretching, the gap in the sides eventually allowed the Powerlock to fall out when putting my pants on. I chose just to cut out a leather insert with higher sides both to snug it up and close the gap. I think the SOG line of power multiplying multi-tools is the most overlooked, if not underrated, line on the market. The quality of the individual tools is comparable to that of their neighbor to the South; the over 2:1 mechanical advantage is unmatched on the market; they have long had tool interchangeability; and have always been one-hand openable.

A box cutter makes it a whole heck of a lot easier to cut then a pair of scissors or shears .

When cutting straight lines I agree, but for curves I have more control and less chance to destroy a project. That being said, do whatever works best for you 👍

Where do you get that oil to dye it?

Alvarito411. It called neatsfoot oil, you can get it on amazon or Tandy leather.

I am not sure why you put a flap and snap on a friction type sheath. Seems redundant, like wearing suspenders and a belt. Regardless that is really a nice piece. Your video was well done easy to follow without loosing interest.

I totally agree, inexperience most likely. The latest one on my channel (I made for my SOG) is a proper friction sheath, and still to this day works great. Thanks for watching, more to come soon 👍
