2 questions 1. How hard is it to play on community custom maps, I would like to try 2. Do these comes maps not come with music?

1) Super easy! Just browse the community on Steam and add the maps. When you launch the game next, they'll appear. Only the host needs the maps. 2) The ones we play didn't have music playing, which was a little odd.
