Custom Limited Edition Mulan Doll [ LIVE ACTION MULAN 花木蘭 TRIBUTE ]

Hello everyone and welcome back!
I wanted to repaint a Mulan doll for quite sometime, especially after they have announced that production of the live action film, but I never got to it since I was so indecisive with what doll to use. I figured I would get the limited edition one since her clothes are the best that I have seen. I also wanted to give her more glam while incorporating some Liu Yifei vibes here and there.
I hope you guys like it, and I cannot wait for the movie!

I swear, she looks absolutely breathtaking. I have the same collectors pair and the only thing I didn't like was how they gave Shang plastic hair, I actually prefer my male dolls to also have rooted hair. Luckily I had two Shangs with rooted hear so I just swapped the heads XD

True, I suppose it's just a preference of mine. I used a gentle hair spray on Shang's hair to keep stray hairs from coming out of place. He's for display anyway so he'll pretty much be stationary...unless he and Mulan pull a Toy Story.

Mulan is my favorite of the Disney Princesses. I always loved her the movies and how she did so much for the ones she loved. I really liked how you only had to fix a few things on this doll to make it great and added a few things too. I also like how you repainted the dragon to look like Mushu.

Mulan is based off of a Chinese legend about a young woman named Hau Mulan who did pretend to be a man to take her father's place in the army so he didn't have to. So it'd be pointless to take it out and the movie would lose it's meaning

That's exactly what I thought. What I was most disappointed in is that she isn't going to pretend to be a man. Like that was the whole point of both the disney movie and the original Mulan story. It's what made her truly brave in my opinion. They might as well say that it is going to be a story inspired by Mulan, rather than a live action remake.
