Depending on the color, some bugs DO stay there forever...of course some metallics, pearls, and light colors....well, gotta dig em out lol

Are today’s flakes a solid color all the way through? In other words, if you wet sand into some the flakes will the color change ? If I had to do something besides scotch brite that bike dash it would cost the customer a fortune ! What gun did you use to spray the last coat on the bike dash as in THIS video? LIKE you said , light ALWAYS tells the story when painting but it looks like it flowed out really well ! I like my old guns but have been looking for a REALLY GREAT gun for doing single stage ! Thanks for the post!

I think ill do another video just for this particular question. Sanding through your clear, and in to the flake, it will "lose its luster" Basically take all the sparkle out of it. In my experience, and the flakes I've used, which has been A LOT...Ive sanded through and hit flakes, not changing the color, just dulling it down so much, that it's just a speck of color. Cheap flakes will change color. Check out my video on metal flake xplained also...for gun usage

Whats the best brand of high solids clear coat have you used and then what's the best for the price? These are the types of projects i do and i want a great clear coat for the finished product.

Well, here's my opinion. The best high solids clear coat (or any clear coat) is the one you like to spray, and the one that does what you need it to do. I've used like, all of them...and they all have their own pros and cons. If you liked the speedokote brand stuff..try the Euroclear (2:1) and hard to run. It's got a really good high solids content at a reasonable price. If you want something that's extra shiny and glossy out of the gun, try the kirker EC300 (4:1) a little easier to run, but thick and super glossy like water. Just gotta find one you like, and then stick with it.
