Those are sealed bearing though so I doubt any of the grease will make it in, it's just to help it sit in there. If they were loose bearing of course that would be the worst.

Harry’s word of the for the video: “lovely “. Looks like a fun build an love the colors. Dig the purple grips. I ordered a new bike Thursday morning and it came on Saturday afternoon around 1 pm (nice suprise it came that fast but it was shipped on Thursday afternoon coming from Southern California to Northern California which isn’t always that quite can vary). But loving it so far an the gear ⚙️ ratio is the dream.

The nardo grey looks so clean but personally I think if it was murdered out black with a couple chrome pieces it would look so mint, and I get your repping your owna brand which is sick but the clean frame with no stickers looks pretty nuts. But the build was sick to watch and the bike looks insane.

Love the videos Powder coat = sandblast, powder sprayed on, cooked at 1200 degrees Fahrenheit in an oven Electrostatic coating uses a charge, no oven
@sixtysecondsofstephens23864 жыл бұрын
It looks mega, great colours. Think you'd of been better off with normal grease not copper slip. As that's for nuts and bolts to stop them seizing up like on the wheel of a car not for bearings or moving parts.
@richardbarton74 жыл бұрын
would just use linseed oil on your worktop. Tastefully done bike for sure.
@TUBICUS54 жыл бұрын
Loving vids and garage mods😀more merch ordered too. As for worktop. Try linseed oil or danish oil. Brush on. Wait for r hours to dry and repeat. May even need 3rd coat. See how that goes.

Copper grease has bits of ground metal in it! You should not put it on bearings as it will be pretty much the same as sand over time, designed for metal on metal but not on moving parts 💪🏼

With powder coating, the plastic dust gets an electrostatic charge as it exists the gun, the charge on the part attracts the dust, then the dust is baked in a kiln causing it to melt into a continuous plastic coating.

Should only use copper slip on threads that dont require to be removed often, it stops seizing. Grease BB axel but would remove from top outer cup as they are sealed bearings.

Great vid bud. On the counter top, wood like that needs to expand and contract with the seasons. Putting more screws in it will make it worse and it might crack. You're better off gluing it down with something flexible like silicone. Or just put a couple screws at the back wall and nothing at the front. Also some wipe on polyurethane will seal it up good. Keep it up, brother!
