Beautiful work but how did you do the geometric lines!?!?? That exact design I want for my car!!! Back in the 70's a painter would do that in pastels and smokes around the lines and it was beautiful!!! Please direct me to any tutorial from YOU !!!

I am also very curious as to where. I've been over this channel a bunch, and only see this one and the Marble effect video.

How much inlet pressure do you use with candy & 4400 hvlp? Do you always use a hvlp with candies or mostly rp?
@RepairRefinishTV5 жыл бұрын
Hi! I use SATA RP for candies. I don't like using HVLP for candy as it doesn't lay the candy as smooth. Thanks🙂

What size flake was used? Or was it a standard metallic paint?
@RepairRefinishTV4 жыл бұрын
It was just a coarse silver from the scheme mate👍
@myscreen2urs5 жыл бұрын
I don't know if it's just how that showed up on video but it looks like the silver was totally lost once you did the candy. Or was the silver just used as a primer in this case?

Looks fantastic - thank you for the tutorial. I'm also very interested in the geometric design shown on the left hand side of that panel. Is there a standard name for that kind of technique?

How is it that the candy doesn't cover the lace pattern?
@RepairRefinishTV6 жыл бұрын
What do you mean? As in why doesnt the candy hide the lace design underneath?
@frisk41816 жыл бұрын
Repair Refinish TV He never replied, so im going to reply for him cause im curious as well. How come the candy doesn’t cover up the lace design? Is it because its a translucent paint?
@NZMOPAR5 жыл бұрын
It's a colored clear coat that's why
@banditcrawler5 жыл бұрын
the candy is a transparent paint so it lets whatever is underneath show through. if you put enough coats of the candy over the lace pattern it would eventually cover it up
@zebedeerotten5335 жыл бұрын
the candy is a dye sort of like a glaze the more coats you add the richer the colour gets but gets darkened one shade depending on how you mix the candy normaly 50:50 with clear intercoat candys are designed to work on metallic and flake basecoats where the surface has a reflective surface as its a dye it barely shows against darker colours but will tint the blue but green candy on blue he will get a slightly darker teal if he just wanted shiny green candy on blue he would have left the lace on for the candycoat
