I've had one for a few months, and I'm swapping back to OE. The design is perfect and I like most of it, but I can't get over the operation of the main button. It feels as if its floating and wobbling a few mm on a spring and dosent provide precise action. When I brought the car in for service , the knob was loose afterwards. This cannot handle gorilla hands and simply another thing to worry about when bringing the car in to a shop. Mine was damaged upon arrival, twice, and I got a huge discount so I'll applaud the seller for working through issues. Also, the engraving was not up to OE standards, for the price, so I went with an unengraved version the second time around. Its a fun novelty but after a few months, its time to go back to a better engineered part.

Well... I bought and installed one. Thanks for the discount code! I'm a little unhappy with the feel though. I feel like I have to really press the button for it to work rather than just squashing it with my hand as I'd expect. I'm pretty sure it's pressed down as far as it goes. Any suggestions? I'm wondering if I stuff something under it above the button on the stick if it'll work better. I'll have to try an OEM one to see if it's the same. Maybe that's just how it is. It looks pretty great though!

Your idea might work but if it was assembled with too much leather between the knob and the clamp that millimeter can make a difference. You can disassemble like I showed using a tool as it’s on quite tight. Them make sure not too much leather is stuffed under there. Also make sure the knob is full down the shaft as it should be without pressing the button.
